Tried to buy something from an Etsy store based in England. They couldn’t fulfil the order due to GPSR rules. I ordered fairly much the same thing on AliExpress and was delivered today without issue from China.

How on earth can this be allowed to continue? Why have Etsy/UK Govt not sorted something to deal with the responsible person issue? Surely this is an easy fix?

Seems odd I can buy the same product from China and not Surrey

Where should the line be drawn between private behaviour and public accountability.

Ollie Cole says the difference often comes down to where it happens, who sees it, and whether there is wider public interest.
