Yesterday I was about 80% done with the 1e AD&D character generator program I was writing, and today I'd say I was about 90% done!

The functionality is done save to add level titles.

The current version :

Creates a character of any 1e legal race/class/stat combination (no CE half-elf str & wis & cha 8 paladins!)

Lets you select whatever starting level you want

Assigns appropriate hit points (properly divides for multi-class)

Generates a starting spellbook for magic-users AND Illusionists!

Allows armor and weapon purchases

Shows saving throws appropriate to level and class

and that's just the start.

It's a big ol' mess of spaghetti code that currently runs off of the command line only but, again, it is entirely mechanically functional.

As soon as I have a better user interface, I'll let you guys know!
