The walkathon passes on from our 6.30 group to the 10.30, both sets off lads have endured some treacherous weather condition’s out there & are still walking in great spirits.
We cannot thank enough these groups who thru whatever the weather still turn up & carry the 24 hour walkathon forward. Just like mental health the struggle isn’t always plain sailing.
There’ll be rough waters, difficult days and times when you feel like you’re battling against the tide. But keep moving forward. Talk, reach out and let someone walk alongside you.
You don’t have to weather every storm alone ❤️💙
The @WalkFlorrie 24 hour walkathon rolls on & this time our 6.30 gang were joined by some of the local kids who attend our Basement Club who are “walking a mile in someone’s shoe’s” which is this years motto. They’re out now. Boss.
Massive respect to the 2.30 boys who fought a bit of a downpour but still managed to soldier on & return for 6.30. Again brilliant #NeverAlone ❤️💙
On the eve of @WalkFlorrie 24 hour walkathon we wholeheartedly support @LFC & @Everton in joining the Premier League’s ‘Together Against Suicide’ initiative.
Football has an incredible reach and, when that reach is used to talk openly about suicide, mental health and the importance of asking for help, it can genuinely make a difference.
Here @WalkFlorrie we know only too well how important these conversations can be.
Since 2022 we’ve been at the forefront of breaking down the stigma surrounding men’s mental health, creating spaces where men can come together, walk, talk, listen and, most importantly, know that they are #NeverAlone
We believe talking saves lives
Sometimes that conversation starts with something as simple as a walk and a coffee. Sometimes it starts in the stands, on a football pitch or amongst a group of mates walking around the local park
So seeing football come together to say it’s okay to talk, it’s okay to ask for help and it’s okay not to be okay is something we will always support.
Football can start the conversation. Together, we can help keep it going. #NeverAlone ❤️💙
