NO, I AM NOT OK WITH OBI-KWANKWASO — AND YOU SHOULDN'T BE, EITHER
I like Peter Obi. I am not sold on him yet, but he has potential and I have an open mind.
What will close my mind instantly, without any wiggle room, is an Obi-Kwankwaso ticket. Nigeria does not need more of the same. It does not need different gasoline running through the same engine. It does not need a different conductor on the train — not when the train has to follow the same damnable tracks.
Why am I against Kwankwaso? Simple.
He is the Sultan's man. Most inside of the inner circle. A sniveling bootlicker to Sokoto in a five-decade career arc that has changed parties five times — PDP to APC to NNPP to ADC to NDC — but never once strayed from fealty to the throne.
When the future Sultan was — as a senior officer of an OIC nation — operating in the shadows during the war on terror, his assignment from the Nigerian government assignment was to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. Every active jihadi theater of the post-9/11 era. One Nigerian Defense Attache who is a descendant of Muhammed. Five radical Islamic countries. Three years.
There are only two other people in the Nigerian government who knew what he was up to.
The President. And Kwankwaso, who was serving as Defense Minster at the time.
Incidentally — when the future Sultan returned from this post in 2006, not long after, the top ten reform-minded generals of the Nigerian Army died in a plane crash. The committee Obasanjo had assembled to clean up the military, gone in one flight.
A few weeks later, the sitting Sultan, his son and heir Senator Badamasi Maccido, and several grandchildren were killed in another plane crash. The Abuja airport radar was turned off when their plane went down. The Aviation Minister declared it pilot error within 24 hours. The President ordered arrests of aviation officials within 48. Question closed.
The future Sultan was turbaned four days later. Record time. Skipping past Maccido's surviving adult sons and past dozens of older brothers in the line — Sa'ad Abubakar was the youngest of 52 children of Sultan Siddiq Abubakar III. The Sultanate Council reached past all of them.
And not long after that, all those terrorist groups from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia started showing up in Nigeria — where they have been slaughtering Christians and raping the land ever since.
The Defence Minister through every one of those events was Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
That is not the only stain on his record.
As Governor of Kano State, Kwankwaso formally declared Sharia law on June 21, 2000, and established the Hisbah Board — the religious enforcement agency that has been arresting Kano residents for "improper dress" and "indecent mixing of the sexes" ever since. He lost his re-election in 2003 anyway, for being insufficiently Islamic for the Kano clerical establishment.
Obasanjo handed him the Defence Ministry the same year. When he returned as Kano Governor from 2011 to 2015, he left behind allegations that he misappropriated roughly N10 billion in pension contributions from Kano state workers. The EFCC interrogated him over it in 2021 and sealed his property. The investigation has stalled. A separate panel found that the EFCC chairman at the time had personally directed his operatives not to investigate Kwankwaso.
Today his nephew Musa Garba is under criminal investigation in Kano for a multi-billion-naira pharmaceutical procurement fraud allegedly tied to a contract awarded to his company without due process. Kwankwaso is publicly accused of interfering with the investigation to protect him.
Sharia. Hisbah. Pension funds. Pharmaceutical contracts. The defence ministry during a genocide. A different party every cycle. And now the vice presidency.
That is why I will actively oppose any ticket with Kwankwaso on it. No matter who is on top.
Peter Obi, if you want my open mind, pick a running mate who is not a puppet of the Sultan.

@PeterObi
Apparently INEC rushed with its election guideline without even taking in to consideration electoral act ,most likely done in cahoot with APC to ambush opposition parties.
Most disappointing is their chairman is a Law Professor .
The electoral act is clear, candidate submission can only be invalid if done less than 120 days to election.
Terrorists collected the maths teacher's phone, saw a picture where he held a bible in the phone, and they beheaded him. He was beheaded because he's a Christian.
But they will still tell you there's no genocide of Christians in Nigeria.
This man was a mathematics teacher in Nigeria.
Not a fighter. Not a criminal. Not a threat to anyone.
He was a simple man who dedicated his entire life to teaching children. Every morning he walked into a classroom carrying books, lessons, and dreams for the future of young students. He spent years helping children understand numbers, solve problems, and believe they could become something great in life.
He was the kind of teacher parents trusted with their children.
The kind of man students respected and loved.
A man whose hands were made for writing on blackboards, not for carrying weapons.
But in today’s Nigeria, even a teacher is no longer safe.
He was kidnapped alongside over 100 innocent people and fellow teachers by terrorists. Families cried and prayed, hoping they would be released alive. Children waited for their teacher to return home safely.
But evil had already made its decision.
Reports say the terrorists saw a picture of him with a Bible on his phone. A Bible… the Word of God… became enough reason for them to take his life.
And then they slaughtered him.
Not in secret.
Not away from people’s eyes.
But in front of the very children he once taught in school.
Can you imagine the terror in those children’s faces?
Can you imagine young students watching the man who taught them mathematics being butchered before their eyes?
Can you imagine the screams, the tears, the fear that will follow them for the rest of their lives?
Those children may never sleep peacefully again.
They may never forget the sound of terror.
They may never erase the image of their teacher dying helplessly before them.
What offence did this man commit?
Was teaching children now a crime?
Was carrying a Bible now worthy of death?
Why take the life of a man who spent his years building the future of children?
Why murder a teacher whose only weapon was education?
Why destroy innocent lives while the world watches in silence?
Nigeria is bleeding every single day.
Christians are being persecuted. Villages are attacked. Pregnant women are murdered. Fathers are slaughtered. Mothers are left widowed. Children are becoming orphans overnight. Churches are filled with tears instead of joy.
Yet the world stays quiet.
If this was happening somewhere else, the world would cry out.
If this happened in powerful nations, headlines would never stop speaking about it.
But when Nigerians die… when Christians are massacred… when innocent teachers are killed before children… many choose silence.
But we will not remain silent.
We will keep speaking.
We will keep crying out.
We will keep telling the stories of innocent people whose blood cries from the ground.
We will keep demanding that the world pays attention until help comes.
Because silence in the face of evil only gives darkness more power.
“Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood.” — Isaiah 59:7
And the Bible also says:
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4
May God comfort the children who witnessed this horror.
May God comfort the family of this teacher.
May God remember every innocent soul lost in Nigeria.
And may the world finally open its eyes before more innocent blood is spilled.
How does it even happen that soldiers meant to protect lives, escorting armed terrorists
, turn their guns on helpless residents south of Jos…
killing two souls and leaving nine others wounded
What kind of world is this where those trusted with our safety become the very source of our pain… where innocent lives are cut short without mercy and families are left in tears and unanswered questions
This is more than tragedy… it is a wound on humanity itself 😭
Breaking News: Major US Policy Shift
Trump Announces New Nigeria Doctrine: Christian Genocide Now Linked to Global Terrorism
2026 National Counterterrorism Strategy released today confirms Trump knows it’s not criminality, climate change, or a farmer-herder conflict. It is a long-running jihad with global ambitions.
————-
The President of the United States today elevated the Nigerian Christian genocide from a religious freedom issue to a counterterrorism mission.
The 2026 National Counterterrorism Strategy, signed May 6, lists two American goals in Africa under one heading, as one mission:
The first is to guarantee that none of the Jihadi groups can build a base of operations that allows them to plot and execute attacks against the United States and American interests around the world. The second is to protect Christians, who have been slaughtered at the hands of these Jihadi groups.
One enemy. Two fronts of the same war.
This is not religious freedom language. It is counterterrorism doctrine. Counterterrorism doctrine moves missiles. The killers of Christians in Plateau and the killer of U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah at Old Dominion are now officially the same enemy.
President Tinubu: Your $10+ million Washington lobbying operation and no-bid contracts did not keep this off the President’s desk. Your Bush Boys and shambassadors did not make it go away. Your “brothers” and “prodigal sons” framing did not survive contact with the truth. The Christian dead you deny have been named.
Sultan of Sokoto: Your throne sits in the epicenter of a long running jihad the United States has now identified as a global security concern. I have called on the Trump administration to launch an investigation into your role in all of this. Looks like it’s coming your way.
Sheikh Gumi: Your long running lovefest “negotiations“ with your bands of bloody Islamic savages have just been rejected, in writing, by the government of the United States.
Boko Haram, ISWAP, the Fulani militias: You are now recognized as a direct threat to the United States. You met cruise missiles on Christmas Day. Expect more.
For years, I have felt like I was the only American voice pushing this argument hard and consistently.
On March 6, 2026, I published a memorandum to President Trump titled Nigeria — The Biggest Win on the Board, encouraging this policy shift.
I made the same case the central thesis of my number-one Amazon bestseller, EPICENTER: Nigeria, Radical Islam, and the War for Global Order.
I delivered it, unvarnished, at my viral congressional briefing two weeks ago.
Here’s the truth:
The Nigerian jihad has raged since 1804. Same throne, same tribe, same tactics, same results: death, rape, slavery, destruction and displacement. As many as six million killed. Ten million enslaved. Twenty-five million displaced. The longest continuous genocide on the face of the earth.
The men running it have not hidden their ambition: Total Sharia across Nigeria, then global.
The Trump White House just confirmed it.
Hold on tight. I get the feeling things are about to get sporty.
The shadow is breaking. It’s about time.

NIGERIAN CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE EMERGENCY
10-12 million Nigerians displaced. Mostly youth.
Without intervention: 5-6 million more jihadists by 2030.
I run schools in those camps. Three is hope! A child who arrives wanting revenge leaves wanting to rebuild.
Please help us reach the Displaced Generation before it's too late!

Tinubu has answered me. The Sultan has answered me. Sheikh Gumi has answered me.
When the President, the Caliph, and the chief jihadi cleric of Northern Nigeria all break silence to address one Texan with an X page — you know what they're scared of.
They are not scared of me. They are scared of you.
Every follower this account adds is one more witness to the Christian genocide they spent fifteen years burying. One more voice they can't silence. One more set of eyes they can't blind.
Here's the ask:
1) Follow @MikeArnoldTruth if you don't already.
2) Repost this post.
3) Tag three people who need to be following along.
Let's give Aso Rock a heart attack!

In 1993 the current President of Nigeria forfeited $460,000 to a Chicago federal court in a heroin investigation. Fled the U.S. (Heroin funds 37% of global jihad...)
He appointed a Boko Haram academic to rewrite the national curriculum for 50 million Nigerian children.
His newly appointed defense chief calls the bloodthirsty savages who behead, rape and enslave innocent citizens “prodigal sons who deserve rehabilitation.”
This is who Washington wants to "work with."

NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT IMPUNITY
Deborah Samuel Yakubu thanked Jesus for helping her pass her exams. She was burned alive. None punished.
Nnamdi Kanu broadcast truth from London critical of the Nigerian regime. He was illegally abducted, run through a bogus trial, and is serving a life sentence in Sokoto.
Ngoshe refugees were assured by the government it was safe to return, and paid to do so. Weeks later they were massacred, with hundreds abducted into slavery.
Meanwhile an Imam offers a N2M bounty on a pastor’s head for evangelizing in the North -- no official condemnation.
Killers get a government-sponsored “rehab” vacation. Survivors get nothing but abuse.

Amupitan Must Go: Nigeria Cannot Trust a Referee Accused of Wearing APC Colours
Professor Joash Amupitan cannot continue to sit comfortably as INEC Chairman while serious questions hang over his neutrality. The office he occupies is not an ordinary appointment. It is the sacred seat of Nigeria’s electoral referee, and anyone who holds it must be above suspicion, above partisan loyalty, and above every shadow of political bias.
The concern around Amupitan is simple: Nigerians cannot be asked to trust an electoral umpire widely perceived by critics as sympathetic to the APC. An election is not credible only because INEC announces results. It is credible when citizens believe the process was fair before, during, and after voting. Once the referee is suspected of leaning toward one side, the entire contest is already poisoned.
The 2027 election is too important to be supervised by a man whose neutrality is being publicly questioned. Nigeria is already battling distrust, voter anger, institutional weakness, and fear of manipulation. INEC should be restoring confidence, not deepening suspicion. Amupitan must understand that public trust is the oxygen of democracy. Without it, even a technically conducted election becomes morally dead.
This is why the honourable path is clear. If Amupitan cannot convince Nigerians that he is fully independent, then he should resign immediately. No personal ambition, political loyalty, or institutional stubbornness should be placed above the survival of Nigeria’s democracy.
Nigeria needs a neutral umpire, not a controversial one. Amupitan must go.
