Sadly I'm ending this thread on a disappointing monitoring of our eelgrass test plantings from June. The plantings were in poor conditions but I am hoping they will recover. Seeing both fish and predators thrive gives me hope that there is still time to restore our seas.
Greetings from the coastal waters of Denmark! A small thread on the ups and downs of this summer's tour-de-coastal waters. #hav#livetundervandet#ålegræs
In the South Funen Archipelago the flora seemed relatively healthy, however there was not much fauna to see, and sadly that is to be expected as this area is heavily affect by eutrophication and hypoxia.
If any of all you lovely people I've encountered on the long journey that was my PhD project (or anyone else) is interested in seeing my defense on the 28th of April at 13-16, you're all invited: https://t.co/EnTZa6m8Fq
@Kelonia_se @2xGES We found no other uses of CIA as well integrated and with a coverage of the entire MSP area as the Swedish MSP. Hopefully we will see this practice spreading to other countries. Enjoy the meeting tomorrow and give my regards!
So how do Member States assess the collective pressure from maritime activities? Our evaluation showed few examples of ecosystem-based MSP, and a great room for improvement. New publication out, together with JH Andersen @2xGES. #MSP https://t.co/efRpYYgu4p
I'm enjoying every bit of my research stay here at University of the Azores. The hospitality, nature, culture and new insights to marine spatial planning of course! #phdlife#MSP
To what extent can the needed #ecosystemapproach advice be provided, and how prepared is the EU management system to integrate it? Just published! https://t.co/E0N0j59e0i

Scary but not surprising news from IUCN. Only 4,8% of Danish waters can be classified as protected (according to IUCN standards). There's a long way to SDG 14.5 of 10% protected area in 2020. #SDG14#iucn
Med støtte fra @VELUXFONDEN til projektet Havforvaltning-DK har vi - sammen med kolleger fra Dansk Center for Miljøvurdering (DCEA) - lavet en mindre udredning af det danske havforvaltningssystem🌊

Please help me find ’best cases’ of taking an ecosystem-based approach in MSP by answering this short questionnaire. It feeds into my PhD project and I am extremely grateful for all inputs.

Happy to share with you my newest - hot off the press - publication. It compares three national policy designs for marine spatial planning (Denmark, Norway and Germany) and investigates how sustainability concepts are understood and implemented.
