Incredibly sad to hear thst Paul Sneddon has died. A brilliant comic, a massive advocate for club comedy and the loveliest bloke. I'd not seen him for a long time, i was hoping to bump into him this August in Edinburgh. All our love to Christine and his family. RIP Vladimir Mctavish.
For the record, I wasn't moaning that only 66 came to the club. We've been through 5 world cups, I know what they are like. I was pointing out the serendipity of having 66 in when England is talking about football. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@tobyfoster Warm e evening, drinking at home, World Cup - always difficult Toby for comedy to compete especially when many of the modern comedians are so poor.
Stand up has never been better. The live circuit is the best it has ever been. People who moan about "what you can't say" tend to be people who don't go out.

Apart from the fact that it's a financial disaster, we had 66 people in the comedy club tonight. That is both a sign that we will win the World Cup and that I will go bankrupt.
This is just awful news. Andy produced me on Breakfast on Sheffield for a while, then more recently held my hand as I did Friday Breakfast on Leeds. He really understood the point of Local Radio, really got it. He was a really good, all round 100% great bloke. The hole he leaves in BBC Local is huge, I can't imagine how much his family will miss him. I've just looked, the last text I sent him just says "Thanks mate". I really meant it.
We have some sad news to bring you. Andy Evans, our BBC Radio Leeds breakfast show producer, has suddenly passed away.
Andy worked at the BBC for over 30 years and the BBC Yorkshire team, and everyone who knew him, is devastated by the news.
Rima Ahmed, our breakfast presenter who worked with Andy closely for just under four years, has paid tribute to him.
She said: โHe took great pride being an Evans, with Welsh roots and a Midlands state of mind, with a Yorkshire edge. There will be hundreds of you who he cared for, looked after, laughed with, drank with, who will remember Andy Evans for the rest of your days. Keep saying his name, whatever that was to you, I know I will.โ

Everyone works so hard every single day. We all go above and beyond because we love our jobs but it's lovely to be recognised for it
The best team there is and there will be even more treats in work today
He did indeed. He said the meeting was a bit boring, so he thought he'd liven it up a bit. He never mentioned UFOs. He said he thought he'd gone a bit far, which he apologised for and said he thought that his learning difficulties may have been an issue. He came across as a reasonable young lad who could probably use a bit of support. Obviously, social media can't be arsed with that, so it tore into him. Don't @ me, I'm not bothered about any points you want to score.
I think it's worth noting that drones can be included under the umbrella term of UAPs
Cllr Lay spoke with Toby Foster on BBC Sheffield about this yesterday afternoon at around 4.53pm
Listen to it
Bake Offโs Paul Hollywood is damned lucky to escape with 5pts on his licence for speeding and not face a careless driving charge after an officer told Worthing JPs he was tailgating at 88mph just 2 metres from the car in front ( meant to be 170 metres) on the M25.
He was driving a Land Rover Defender weighing a couple of tonnes and had a mistake happened at that speed ( he was doing up to 105mpg) the consequences would be dreadful.
Nothingโs worse on the m-way than a high speed tailgater. Iโm no angel, having been done recently for doing 80mph, but drivers who use the outside lane like Silverstone and bully drivers ( obeying the rules) out the way are a bloody pest.
Hollywood defence was that his cat was sick and he wanted to get home to take it to the vet.
Could I remind Hollywood thereโs nobody on the roads who hasnโt a good reason to get home quickly.
