built a tech course company (60k users). now scaling @funforms. @googledevexpert alumni. won some awards, spoke at a few conferences. hop along for what's next.
whaaat, can't believe i hadn't heard of "vehicle motion cues"
it stops you feeling motion sick while using your phone in the car by putting dots on your screen that move with the accelerometer
apple have some very nice accessibility features
yeah i'm totally avoiding it until I get the fitness back, a few weeks and i'll be good to go. i think i was using 5kg, which doesn't even sound like much but jeez massive difference. i did 10kg once but that was diabolical. need to dig it out the garage and blow some dust off (haven't used it for years!). am very curious about how it'll help training as can only be very good for it (i never used it properly, just a novelty a few times...)
@saimonsharif i do have one actually, when i've dropped a couple kilos (i've put on 4kg last few weeks lol) then i'm gonna exclusively train in the vest and races will be elite
@M4XW3LLR appreciate that, thanks mate - will be interested to see about integrating the various apis, i'll likely need to tweak local deployment setup or maybe automate a git push but i'll cross that bridge later
@M4XW3LLR@euboid man, this is rad - amazing stuff. appreciate the screenshot, would be very interested to create my own if you've any tips to get started! <3
sometimes i go months with no fitness, eat junk and abuse the body... then it taps out
and I train like a beast again... 10k run or 2.5k swim each day (currently building back up to that)
it's a massive mood booster (for work included) and you carry yourself differently when you feel somewhat 'invincible'
@m_zokov i've just enabled it to turn on while i'm in the car, clever setting, can't believe it's been in my phone for 2 years and i never knew about it haha
do you also use the 'tap the back of the phone' shortcuts? like double-tap/triple-tap
@m_zokov i think instagram is probably the most challenging platform for saas, but very good for local / in person businesses by making humorous reels and ads that look UGC
convince me otherwise: staying up late is better for productivity - because:
the greater ideas and breakthroughs happen late at night
i'm not saying you have to produce more work that late, sometimes we do our best work without producing anything meaningful at all
the silence, the uninterrupted, allows for ways of thinking and clarity that your brain cannot contend with during the 'chaos' of a normal working day
if you're at peace, so is your mind, and it can work things out easier for you
it took me a long time to accept i was a night owl, but it was because my mind craved the solitude hours of darkness
so... if it works for you, embrace it and don't change (just double-down on quadruple espressos all morning)
...but if you like to go to bed at 8pm too, then you're totally fine as well
i guess
itโs exhausting communicating online, or is it just me?
scanning messages for emdashes and/or ai writing styles and just preemptively assuming people are bots until proven human
