I’m done with Twitter. The last 3 days my feed is full of political vituperative (angry shit). Not worth it. I like Asterisk for talking about reading (sharing links and comments), and Mastodon for keeping up with the professional. Maybe see you there.
@sendaiben @simongriifinjp I fasted for a week in high school as part of a church program (which ended after 2 days). Two key suggestions. 1) Drink lots of water. 2) Do something at meal times (we prayed, then I practiced my musical instrument).

@BryanAlexander I just finished Brad DeLong's The Cult of Smart. He is a Marxist Socialist advocating for fewer enrollments at university. Well documented.
Yes. I am shocked at how little attention this has gotten. See the Senate Report, the Mueller Report, and @jimrutenberg’s terrific piece on this. The deal was for the US to stand aside while Putin took Ukraine, and when Trump lost in 2020, Putin tried to take it fast, militarily.
@thornburyscott I’m working on a collection of activities called SAMRizing GPT. The tech adoption categories of Substitute, Augment, Modify, and Redefine. The hard part is finding/creating activities that are aligned with ELT research. Then trying them out in class.
