Good Boy is one of the best things RTE have done in years. Its so funny with a surprising tender heart to it. Its on the player and if you're someone who regularly complains about RTE not funding the right thing PLEASE WATCH IT, make it a hit @tonyhorror@Hantmam
@DonaldClarke63 You’re right. That was actually a lovely review. I also very much appreciated that while not glowing; you recommended it to the appropriate audience. So I take that back.
@DonaldClarke63 I’ve not seen it and didn’t enjoy the others. My issue is with your inaccessible prose. You use your skills as a writer to intentionally alienate and your vast film literacy to condescend. You’re also so comfortable shirking your responsibility as a guide or mentor to the public
@DonaldClarke63 Why don’t you crack open that thesaurus you keep under your pillow and find something you prefer. If the pages aren’t still stuck together.
To use the sort of language the journalist would appreciate, this review is the most pretentious, anachronistic, opportunistic piece of ‘not Ingmar Bergman’s Faith trilogy’ I’ve ever read.
To use the sort of language the protagonist would appreciate, #DeadpoolAndWolverine utterly sucks. "The most relentlessly juvenile entry in a sequence that has rarely been confused with Ingmar Bergman’s Faith trilogy."
