@Renaissance_afr has relaunched its Vendor Financing Scheme (RVFS), partnering with 13 financial institutions to provide a subscribed portfolio of $4.1bn and ₦435bn for indigenous oil and gas contractors.

Since its inception in 2010, the scheme has recorded zero defaults, with $1.3bn disbursed and liquidated between 2017 and 2025. Renaissance targets 500,000 barrels of oil per day by 2030, with a longer-term ambition of 1 million barrels per day.

The scheme strengthens local capacity, contractor financing and Nigeria’s energy growth ambitions.

Renaissance Strikes Major Oil Discovery Offshore Nigeria

During his Day 2 opening remarks at NOG Energy Week 2026, the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, announced Renaissance’s major oil discovery at the JK-004 exploration well in OML 74, offshore Nigeria, recognising it as a significant milestone for Nigeria’s upstream sector. Members of the Renaissance leadership team were invited on stage to mark the achievement.

The discovery, which confirmed approximately 1,000 feet of hydrocarbon-bearing column across seven reservoirs with excellent reservoir quality and light oil, reflects the strength of our exploration strategy, technical excellence, and the power of collaboration with our joint venture partners and regulators.

This milestone reinforces our commitment to growing Nigeria’s reserves, advancing energy security, and creating long-term value for our nation and Africa.
