@paulenglish1961 Got it now ๐. I think though though Adidas โreasoningโ is because WC finishes so late. We will see end of next season I suppose. Hope itโs ready for the players and numbers not falling off etc like Spurs in 87 cup final ๐
@dogavic@retrofootballnw@WelsbyElton Totally agree. ITV didnโt seem to show matches until weeks after a season had started. Like them or not, Sky revolutionised coverage in 1992 and if not them someone would have had to do it.
@mrmujac Absolutely was in the the treble season but sadly wasnโt quite the same after Achilles injury imo. Still would not have got rid of him though and him & Rio would have been some combo!
@Benj_Gribb@Malachians Correct, Hughes was a one-off. I have never seen anyone like him in football. So strong & brave and also so technically brilliant. He gave Hansen & Lawrenson a hard time every time he played them. And would charge in on Wimbledonโs Crazy Gang like a man possessed ๐คฃ.
@Malachians Sorry I really donโt agree with that. Cunha an excellent player but Hughes was the ultimate warrior, nobody was better in football with their back to goal. And he always performed, never going missing in games and like Robbo died for the team. My hero.
@Cantona_Collars Can somebody explain to me why we always have to wear black shorts against City either away or in cup finals, yet they can wear white shorts at OT. Are we just choosing to do this?
@BPete1970 Thank you. We lost Dad last year. He is responsible for me being a Cockney Red ๐. And he is the first thing I think about after every game. He would have loved Sunday โค๏ธ
@BPete1970@WhitesideOne@NormanWhiteside@AFTVMedia Snap ๐. Also went to Chelsea & Spurs for the first time with Dad that season where they won as well. Upton Park was the bogey London ground those days.
@prodnose Excellent analysis sir ๐คฃ Similar to your thought process getting Gazza pissed and feeding him kebabs prior to the 98 World Cup ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
