Running a marathon will be WAAAY more difficult than anything or anybody could prepare you for. And if you ever do manage to finish one, you deserve the utmost respect💯
My foot felt dislodged/sprained in the last 10-15km and I could see others in the same situation…but as a collective, it’s was so inspiring to see such a driven crowd push through all these physical blockers (and yes, there were MANY) and mentally push themselves.
I was devoted to finishing the @torontomarathon no matter what and once I saw that finish line…all the tears, prayers, and pain became worth it for that feeling of… “I actually did it”
Go do hard things.

Yesterday we ran our first 10k at the @torontomarathon and I’m still thinking about it. It was one of those things where you don’t really know what you’re capable of until you’re in it.
Running it with my partner made it even more real. There were moments where it stopped being physical and turned into “okay, can I actually push through this or not?”
Today we’re sore, moving slow, and definitely feeling it. But honestly, that’s the best part because it means we actually challenged ourselves instead of staying comfortable.
Doing hard things has a way of showing you where you’re at. And once you see that, you can’t really unsee it.

Is it even a marathon finish if the medal doesn’t require a load-bearing wall? 🏗️ Serious question: how is this drywall still holding up? These Toronto Marathon medals are absolute units. Hanging eight of them feels less like decorating and more like a structural hazard. 🏅💪
