This is a reminder the Town of Parry Sound does not collect yard waste at the curb in the Spring. Curbside pickup is available only in the Fall. However, Town residents can take their yard waste to the MacFarlane Street Transfer Station which is now on Summer hours!

The Town's Spring Hydrant Flushing Program will be starting the week of April 14th, 2025 and take approximately two months to complete. Residents may experience discoloured water or a temporary decrease in water pressure. More information can be found on the Town's website.

The Town would like to advise residents of a possible noise disruption occurring overnight Oct 15th due to an infrastructure repair project. There will be large trucks travelling frequently in the area of MacFarlane Street. Please visit the Town's website for more information.

The Town of Parry Sound is currently conducting sewer flushing which is done annually. The process will take approximately 1-2 weeks to complete. For more information please visit the Town of Parry Sound's website or contact the Public Works department.

A portion of the William Street sidewalk will be replaced starting Sept 1st. The North side of the William Street sidewalk between Rosetta & Cascade Streets will be replaced. The sidewalk will be closed to accommodate the work. Please visit the Town's website for more information

Repairs to the Seguin Street bridge will be starting Monday August 26th. There will be alternating lane closures and the sidewalk across the bridge will be closed. Part of the fitness trail under the bridge will also be closed. More information can be found on the Town's website.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Tower Hill Observation Tower is closed. Assessments are being made for a repair and reopen timeline.

Work occurring at the Bowes Street train trestle Feb 28th - Mar 6th, 2024. Due to the work, alternating lanes of traffic may be closed. A portion of the Bowes St sidewalk will also be closed (between River and Louisa St). Please use caution when navigating through the detours.

MacFarlane Street Transfer Station is now accepting payment for garbage tags via interact. Coins will continue to be accepted until March 30th, 2024. No VISA/Mastercard. Garbage tags will also continue to be sold at Hillcrest Grocery and the Town of Parry Sound Municipal Office.

Due to the Family Day holiday, curbside waste collection scheduled for Monday February 19th will be postponed until Tuesday February 20th. Please ensure all waste continues to be out by 7:00 a.m. for it to be collected.
