Sydney is finna make half a million dollars from Grand Slam. They made her the poster girl of the league when it dropped. She did the initial press conference when they launched saying "its an honor, and its going further the visibility of the sport, and exposure for all of the athletes." She's arguably the biggest athlete signed and is the only athlete who haven't made a single post about GST. Mind you, 1.5 million followers on IG and 100k+ on Twitter , so a simple post informing her 1.6 million fans that she is running can bring in thousands of views and actually further the visibility of the sport.... but hey, some ppl just be talking just to hear their own voices.
While many of their peers will be in Kingston, Jamaica for the inaugural Grand Slam Track event this weekend, Sha’Carri Richardson, Julien Alfred and Shericka Jackson are among those appearing at the Miramar Invitational in Florida on April 5 — setting up a repeat of Alfred and Richardson’s showdown at the Paris Olympics in the 100m last year.
Jackson, Kishane Thompson, Steven Gardiner and Tajay Gayle and others are also scheduled to compete at Saturday’s meet.
