That’s not to say those crowds aren’t appreciated and welcomed. I love how the fringe brings new eyes to your shows. Just seeing the all white rooms in a few shows, (or delighting at there being… 7 black people in one room) and imagining/remembering what that feels like

A huge shoutout to artists of colour at #fringe this year. I’ve loved the shows I’ve seen, but sad that even since 2019 it doesn’t feel like we see more racially diverse audiences. I know how it feels to put work out everyday to white crowds, and I’m sending love. You got this ❤️

I've mentioned before here my concerns about the way in which interviews in some papers are now automatically presented in a culture wars context - or, worse, shoehorn in certain pet topics and/or cherrypick quotes, necessitating clarifications from interviewees later on.
