1. Check road conditions before traveling.
2. If you see rain falling, don't assume your porch, sidewalk, or travel route are ice free.
3. Download the mPING app and let us know what you see in your location!
Severe winter weather can lead to power outages. Contact your local power provider, NOT 9-1-1, to report the outage. #clickthepic for some tips so you're "not in the dark" on what to do! Visit https://t.co/pzjNz7gLEM for more information. Have a great week, Delaware County!
Understanding snow emergency levels is as easy as 1...2...3! #clickthepic to learn more.
Please don't call 911 for road condition info - our dispatch center is extremely busy handling calls for emergencies, especially today! Stay safe Delaware County! @DelCoSheriff@DelCoOH911
Be wary on the roads this evening. The road departments have done a great job but out in the rural open areas the wind is bringing snow out onto the roads in spots. Eyes open and speed reduced.
Let's shed light on how to prepare for power outages. Flashlights, extra batteries, carbon monoxide detectors, and non-perishable food are must-haves. Power outage preparedness: https://t.co/qJH8vuOOcF
It is about to get COLD out there! When exposed to cold temperatures, your body loses heat faster than it’s produced. Lengthy exposures will eventually use up your body’s stored energy, which leads to lower body temperature. Don't wait - take action! Keep warm, and stay safe!
A Place of Warmth Zion will be open nightly at the Zion Church from Saturday, 1/13 through Saturday, 1/20/24.

As the Chairperson for the Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness, I encourage teachers & parents to help their students share their weather knowledge by submitting a poster! Learn more at: https://t.co/F5KX3N0DGQ
Widespread rainfall and strong wind gusts accompanying low pressure will affect the entire area. Secure loose objects before the wind increases this evening.

It is Crash Responder Safety Week. This year's theme is "Protect Those Who Protect You." You can do this by slowing down, moving over, and staying alert while on the road. #CRSW
District 1 had 2 crashes in 2 days due to driver inattention. In both, the crash attenuator saved everyone's lives. A traffic camera caught the one on I-75. Miraculously, no one was seriously injured.
PLEASE put away the distractions and #JustDrive#MoveOverMonday
