News flash, even the ones in Mombasa are not authentic. No one in Kenya sells authentic shawarma. Authentic shawarma looks like this, sio hii ya wakenya imejaa mayonnaise na lettuce 😅. It’s either w dry wrap in frame 1 or crispy wrap in frame 2. Your pick.
@Jameskk110@TribesofE Nahh I’ve tried Turkish, Lebanese and authentic shawarma from coast and the coast one is the best. The bread the Turks and Lebanese use is different, doesn’t slap the same.
@TribesofE@Brianmbunde I don’t know where you guys eat your shawarma but I know restaurants like Habibi Cafe which have gone to great lengths of bringing in Syrian chefs from Damascus to just prepare shawarma and other Arabic dishes.
@TribesofE Once you travel and eat doner shawarma by Turks, you will never enjoy any shawarma in Kenya ata ya Wacoast.
Shawarma has to have fresh doner beef or chicken, FRESH lettuce -not cabbage, PICKLED baby cucumbers, green chili peppers & onions, garlic mayo sauce, pomegranate sauce.
Nairobi's shawarma is just a chapati wrap with an identity crisis and y'all are paying 500 bob for it like it's authentic. Go to Mombasa or keep quiet.
