Web3 game devs face a real choice: add friction for players or take on the compliance burden themselves. 99% of players will never want self-custody. The answer is compliant custodial wallets with the option to go self-custodial. That is what Genesis Engine is built for.
Most crypto tools pitching to Web3 game studios are bank replacements dressed up as gaming infrastructure. They fix FX fees and treasury flows. They don't fix the MiCA/CASP obligation. Studios integrating them are still fully exposed. There is a difference between a payment layer and a licensed custodian.
Web3 game devs have two options. Non-custodial wallets โ player friction. Custodial wallets โ studio friction (MiCA/CASP). Most tools out there solve a treasury problem and call it compliance. Genesis Engine solves the actual problem: compliant custodial wallets, zero player friction, with self-custody available for the 1% who want it.
@sridharfyi I would say it depends. Just elevator pitch a min or two, but that often misses a lot of important info. I can bring mine down to 10min but that still leaves some small parts out of you want the full picture.
@pmitu Mobile game company, turned into a Web3 platform but I was fired before they failed, for reasons they actually couldn't fire me for but I wanted to focus on this project instead anyway so I didn't fight them about it.
@nftboi_ Were raising but we won't release our token before our product is ready. Building the regulatory and payment infrastructure most Web3 game devs will need to legally onboard EU users.
Small to midsized web3 game developers facing s regulatory barrier that costs them up to โฌ1M and up to 18 months to build it themselves. A workaround means you add friction inside and outside the game for the gamers and get worse retention and you are also not doing web3 gaming correctly.
@sridharfyi Agreed, and we are the only one building the full stack solution as our main competitor shut down due to raising to little so they ran out of funds.
