Most players don’t fail in recruiting because of talent. They fail because no one explains the process honestly.
I’ve spent 25+ years on the recruiting side of college baseball.
This account is where players & parents learn what actually matters. ⚾️
@Bowser1129@JB02733001@JaredB_BSBL So your argument is that because you wouldn’t do it, no coach should?
That’s a pretty tough standard to apply across thousands of teams and situations.
@angry_xer@jphilinTX@JaredB_BSBL Funny.
The photo includes a future Olympian for Mexico, a future KBO coach, and a player who returned to Japan.
Yet you looked at one picture and decided you knew everyone’s background.
We’re back to assumptions again.
@angry_xer@jphilinTX@JaredB_BSBL We make a good team.
My entire point has been that people make strong conclusions from limited info.
You called me a grifter, assumed what I tell families, assumed what I promise players and admitted you’re “guessing.”
Thanks for providing another example. 👊🏻
@j5_jazzy@JaredB_BSBL Parents take away privileges on vacations every day. Nobody can determine whether that’s right or wrong without knowing why.
The same applies here.
Context matters.
@angry_xer@jphilinTX@JaredB_BSBL You keep describing why travel ball wasn’t worth it for you.
That’s very different from proving it isn’t worth it for anyone else.
@angry_xer@jphilinTX@JaredB_BSBL Fascinating.
In one tweet, you criticized people for making assumptions and then created an entire fictional story about me.
Self-awareness remains undefeated. 👊🏻
@angry_xer@jphilinTX@JaredB_BSBL I’ve seen travel ball create friendships that lasted a lifetime, opportunities that changed lives and memories families still talk about decades later.
The value isn’t only measured in scholarships or dollars.
Sometimes it’s measured in experiences you’ll never get back.
@wes_coers@JaredB_BSBL Maybe the bigger issue isn’t the pool.
It’s that a parent is upset with a coach and looking for social media to settle the dispute.
The first conversation should probably be with the coach, not the internet.
@angry_xer@jphilinTX@JaredB_BSBL If the only value you see in youth sports is a financial return, you’ve missed the point entirely.
The journey, lessons, friendships, adversity and experiences are the return.
The scholarship is just a bonus for a few.
