@FarhanYusufzai According to the devs it's a knob you have to adjust. It should be as simple as configuring a dump_device="/dev/ada0pX" in rc.conf and enabling dumpdev / savecore services.
I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting the big news I hinted at a few days ago. Here's the blog post you've all been waiting to read. We are shifting our focus to become a more core-centric operating system. Read more about the new changes here:

@freebsdbytes @freebsd_bot@JohnBlood As for Trident, I see it as a spin-off. The TrueOS name stays the same, but they're a new project that has formed from a couple of our developers that want to keep the graphical BSD dream alive.
@freebsdbytes @freebsd_bot@JohnBlood I'm a marketer by trade and I side with you on that one. I don't like name changes at all, but unfortunately, many felt the change from PC-BSD to TrueOS was necessary to make a clear delineation between the projects.
We've been doing some preliminary testing with different DEs, and we've been thrilled with how easy and compatible the installs have been. It may not be as attractive, but we think giving a choice back to the users is the right way to go. https://t.co/2GNkoKfGyY
@JohnBlood TrueOS will focus on the nuts and bolts by bringing in new cutting edge features that will build on to #FreeBSD. You can use a desktop environment easily with TrueOS but it won't be an out of box experience like before.
@JohnBlood We're not changing our name but project trident is a sort of "spin-off" if you will that will continue to hack away on a graphical BSD solution.
