We are not in trouble. The people of Osun State have shown us what courage looks like.
They are rejecting the APC by coming out in their numbers to vote, and more importantly, they are refusing to leave the protection of their votes entirely in the hands of one politician. Each person is taking responsibility for their own vote.
Nobody is asking Adeleke how he plans to protect their votes. The people themselves are protecting them.
They demanded that the ballot papers delivered to each polling unit be counted before voting commenced. They rejected inducements, or at least collected the money offered by the APC and still voted for Accord. They counted their votes, challenged polling officials who recorded incorrect figures, and I have no doubt that many will remain at the various collation centres until the final result is announced.
This is how we should do it come January 2027.
Driving home, 2011. Checkpoint. Drunk policeman.
3 gun shots, one bullet punched through my car boot into my right hand.
That hand once edit, animated, paid bills and fed my family. Overnight it became dead weight.
Career gone. Marriage cracked. Mind still bleeding daily.I sued the Nigeria Police.
2015: Federal High Court ordered them to fund reconstructive surgery to restore my life.
Eleven years later: zero naira, zero apology, zero accountability.
I still can’t fully use the hand they destroyed. Still begging strangers so I don’t lose it forever.
The Nigeria Police that shot me ignores the court. Who protects the rest of us?

My colleague wanted to sell his car to offset his ₦1.8m house rent. Downgrade to something smaller.
His wife said she would buy the car.
“You will buy my car? Where did you see money?” he asked her.
She said, “My brother raised ₦6 million for me last year to start a business. I fixed the money.”
“And I wasn’t aware? You still collect ₦100k from me every month to take care of yourself?”
It’s been two weeks now since he left the house.
He said he is no longer interested in the marriage.
