I really want remakes of the classic doom games in the current engine
Not for nostalgic purposes, but to expand on parts of the story that they couldn't in the past because of limitations
Also I think modern interpretations of classic environmens would be sick
Physical media never really disappeared.
We were sold the promise of unlimited access. Yet between the growing number of subscriptions, content disappearing overnight, ever-increasing prices, ads everywhere and platforms making decisions for us...
Ownership is becoming valuable again. Because what you truly own has lasting value, free from the choices and restrictions imposed by others.
Physical media only, nothing else.
OBSESSION is lowkey problematic and possibly even dangerous because there’s no way Andy Richter’s music store is bringing in enough money to sustain that level of staffing and it sets an unrealistic expectation for small businesses owners when we put that on the big screen
these new horror movies are hitting because young folks are scared of different things.
home invasions don’t work because no one owns a home. slasher movies are unrealistic when everyone has ring cameras and life360.
liminal spaces and being forced to date a bad guy? horrific
Denis Villeneuve has no interest in making a Star Wars film
• He was once obsessed with Star Wars — calling 'Empire Strikes Back' his most anticipated movie ever
• Franchise was 'derailed' with 'Return of the Jedi' — 'it became a comedy for kids'
• Dislikes the Ewoks to this day
Holy House of Leaves, Batman! Backrooms was very good, really creepy. I love it when a horror movie doesn’t waste time explaining everything, leaves questions unanswered, and makes me want more. 9/10
@scavbolt God, Mask of the Phantasm is such a masterpiece. It’s the perfect Batman movie, paced incredibly & imo understands Bruce & Bats better than any live action movie.
@Ainsley_DLC It’s sorta like comparing the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Jaws. While both are great and scary, one feels cheaply made and relies on the experience to creep you out, while the other is a fun, bigger budget scare fest that was clearly made for a much wider audience.
@poorteffy I think it’s less about the why and more so to show that real Nikki isn’t in control, confirming that, from this point forward, Bear knows it isn’t real Nikki. This is the moment I realized that Bear was the villain.
