@atalovesyou What is your opinion about Trumps immigration policies in his first term? Agree , Dems do nothing for backlog communities but they don’t purposely reject visa applications and cause problems for people staying in the queue. I know ~ 20 families who had to leave during trump.
@ajainb After all these years of talk and dramas, let's hope this isn't just a repeat of the same and part of self-promotion. Time for meaningful action for folks who are waiting for a long time.
@AttyStevenBrown@BaniasLaw@rnlawgroup@krystal_alanis Why does the perm petition take over a year to adjudicate? Can they give options to expedite the process? Any considerations to expedite for reapplicants due to job changes?
@SenatorDurbin Waited 10+ years for my green card legally. Considering staying illegally or leaving and returning illegally would be the best option for greencardbacklog folks.

@BaniasLaw@AttyStevenBrown Is there any optimism for expediting the PERM process? My priority date is from 2014, but due to changing employers, I had to refile PERM. I'm currently awaiting approval to proceed with the I-140.
@TheRahulMenon@nagi1 Despite signing the petition and receiving a response from my senator, I wonder if there's a realistic chance of these changes ever coming to fruition. Over the past few years, my attempts to communicate with senators and congressmen have yielded no tangible results.
@AttyStevenBrown@rnlawgroup@krystal_alanis@immigrationgirl@BaniasLaw After a decade of waiting for the I-140, I switched jobs a couple of years ago and am now undergoing the PERM processing once more. Is there any recourse for individuals like me who changed jobs and impacted by prolonged wait for a green card.
@AttyStevenBrown I had to submit my PERM petition for the second time due to a change in my employer. I'm hopeful that the Department of Labor expedites the process, although currently, it indicates a 347-day timeframe for petition approval.
