The radical sex education group SIECUS (Sexuality Information Education Council of the United States) issued their state report card on sex education curriculum in all 50 states. You may recall that SIECUS lobbied heavily in Texas in 2020 for radical, comprehensive sex education to be adopted in the State Board of Education’s revision of Health standards in 2020.
Although SIECUS did not succeed at the SBOE in 2020, they still have plans to get radical sex education in Texas schools. In their state report card where they assess laws and curriculum on human sexuality instruction, SIECUS gave Texas a D +. This is good news!

Texas Faith Summit: Equipping Pastors on Elections
"Most pastors that sign up for the role, they want to be teachers and preachers, not leaders. And the reality is, as we look at our nation, what we celebrate are the leaders that helped accomplish and do things." - @TimDavidBarton, President of WallBuilders

Texas Faith Summit: Equipping Pastors on Elections
Texas Values was proud to help put on the Texas Faith Summit! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible.
We enjoyed coffee and tea at the Governor’s Mansion with Governor @GregAbbott_TX before heading to @TPPF for panels with Texas leaders focused on equipping pastors to engage in elections.

Texas Values stands by behind Rep. Leach over investigation of texts sent to parents and kids on how to circumvent the Texas Women’s Privacy Act and the Parental Bill of Rights. Last week, the Texas Values team testified in the Texas Senate on how we were able to help school districts comply with SB 12. We are monitoring the situation as the issue continues to be investigated as to who sent these texts. #txed #txlege
Tonight I sent a formal request to Attorney General Paxton to open an investigation in to organizations and individuals engaged in encouraging, instructing, or assisting Texans in circumventing, evading, or violating the requirements of SB 12, the Texas Parents Bill of Rights. Of particular concern is information distributed in recent days as a “Back to School Toolkit” by an organization branding itself as “Trans Texas”, containing guidance on not
only navigating but circumventing and violating the directives of the bill.
To be clear, the laws enacted by the Texas Legislature are not optional, and no advocacy organization has a special exemption from complying with them. The Parents’ Bill of Rights was enacted to protect the rights of parents and their children and the #txlege expects it to be followed in every Texas school and in every Texas classroom.
"The time for waiting is over. School districts must put qualifying donated Ten Commandments posters up now.” -@jonathan_covey
Texas Values was featured in a recent @Tex_Pol article after we distributed an updated legal guidance letter to all Texas public school districts concerning their obligations under Senate Bill 10, the law requiring Ten Commandments displays in public school classrooms.

“The time for waiting is over. School districts must put qualifying donated Ten Commandments posters up now. The Fifth Circuit upheld the law. Asking the Supreme Court to review that ruling does not put the law on hold. Districts need to comply immediately.” -@jonathan_covey, Director of Policy for Texas Values

Youth Safety Online Panel at @texyouthsummit
“The past administration and other people in government saying and trying to convince people that parents are domestic terrorists. That’s absolutely ridiculous.” - @jonathansaenzTX, President & Attorney for Texas Values
Parents should be able to feel empowered to protect their kids from the harms of online platforms. Texas already has laws in place that websites / apps should be following.
Texas Values was as a proud sponsor of this years Texas Youth Summit and thankful to be able to participate in this life changing event!
