I want to give you my unadulterated thoughts on AI and what it has done to me as a creative, a musician, producer, and songwriter.

AI is a powerhouse.

I see both sides. Incredibly powerful tools. But there is this DEEP sadness that we've crippled the future of independent musicians who want to make music a full time gig. This is getting bad, and it is only the beginning.

This is hitting me harder because my entire life has been structured around indie artists and the creative gifts of real humans. God given gifts.

About 18 months ago, I sat by my fire and recorded a video predicting the downfall of the music industry as we know it.

I feel torn.

The good thing is we may go back to a world where live music matters. But right now, bedroom musicians, instrumentalists, streaming musicians are COOKED. 95% of the world cannot tell the difference between a computer and a human, and that irritates me more than I could ever put into words.

Do I use Suno to help produce? Yes. Do I use it to give me music ideas? Yes. So am I part of the problem? most likely. It's powerful. Again, I'm torn. But there are some lines I can't cross and that's calling anyone a songwriter/musician/artist and you actually suck ass at music.

Strange times.

I am grateful and heartbroken at the same time.��I am frustrated and also curious about what comes next.

If there is anything I can do to help the musician, the small creative, the independent artist with a dream to share their story with the world, I am fully in.
