Ahead of #WomenInDiplomacy Day, @UNDPUganda joined a high-level dialogue hosted by @IGADsecretariat in partnership with Inside Diplomacy @diplomatical05, celebrating and advancing women’s leadership in diplomacy and multilateralism. 🌍

The dialogue featured various panel discussions, and a video message from @NwanneObahor highlighting the vital role women in diplomacy play and the importance of recognizing and amplifying their impact.

Across the Acholi, Lango, West Nile, and Karamoja sub-regions, we are proud to launch 𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗔𝗜: 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀𝟰𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗔𝗜𝗘𝗿𝗮, a @UNDPUganda initiative that we are implementing across Northern Uganda to equip young people with the knowledge and competencies needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Aligned with 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮'𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯/𝟮𝟰–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳/𝟮𝟴, we are expanding access to AI literacy and digital skills for secondary school learners, equipping the next generation for the future of work, innovation, entrepreneurship, and national development.

@TheJNLC in partnership with @UNDPUganda, has delivered more than six comprehensive Youth and Young Women Leadership Training programmes across the country. Reflecting a deliberate strategy to ensure national inclusion and regional representation, the training of over 400 participants since 2023 has covered five regions; Central, Eastern Uganda, Northern Uganda) and Western Uganda. Participants to the trainings hosted at universities in the regions have included youth councillors, university guild leaders, and young from diverse institutions nationwide. By convening young leaders across sectors—politics, academia, and enterprise—the programme strengthens cross-sector collaboration, expands national networks, and nurtures a generation of transformative leaders committed to sustainable development. We gratefully acknowledge @UNDPUganda for its invaluable partnership and continued support in advancing this impactful initiative.
