As we transition from earthquake search and rescue to support for survivors, humanitarians are working in a prioritised, coordinated way. At this centre in La Guaira, Venezuela, we’re helping 2000 people through their moment of upheaval.
Hundreds of civilians killed or injured across #Ukraine in the last days. Attacks on aid workers and aid are also rising.
Whatever the pace of political efforts, civilians cannot wait. I urged the Security Council to use their influence to prevent further civilian suffering.

Responding to Venezuela earthquakes over last fortnight demanded watertight alignment of local authorities, states, search and rescue teams, private sector, and NGOs.
