It's Giving Day!
Lionel Jones was a trail blazer and achieved numerous milestones in the legal profession, beginning with his call to the bar in June 1964, when he became the first Black man and the second Black lawyer to be admitted to the Law Society of Alberta.
The Honourable Lionel Jones Memorial Endowment in Law carries on his legacy of excellence, and ensures that students who identify as Black, Indigenous and Persons of Colour have the support they need to get through law school.
Thank you for supporting our vision for a more equitable and inclusive future for legal education!
The donation portal is open until midnight tonight! https://t.co/KONaIloGVl
