During Werklund's summer residency, BEd students got to visit the Confluence and St. Patrick's Island to explore the historical, social, and political factors that have impacted Indigenous languages while learning about the ongoing work of language revitalization.

Werklund BEd students visited the Central Library and surrounding spaces to explore Calgary as a living curriculum through place-based inquiry, public art, and community engagement.

Werklund BEd students have been experiencing what it’s like to not just learn about the land, but also from and with it. With the help of our professors and instructors, Werklund students have been immersed in land-based learning throughout the two-week summer residency.
