🥈 SILVER for Ruth Usoro 🇳🇬 in the women's Long Jump at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow!

She flew out to a mark of 6.87m (+2.7) on her very first attempt to finish 2nd, a big step up from her 6th place finish at the last Commonwealth Games.

Only Jazmin Sawyers 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 jumped better with her 6.93m to win GOLD.

🥉JUDO BRONZE FOR ENKU EKUTA!!! 🇳🇬

Enku Ekuta fought her way onto the Commonwealth Games podium, claiming Bronze in the women's -63kg judo event after defeating 🇿🇲 Zambia's Rita Kabinda by ippon.

The Nigerian bounced back through the repechage after a loss in the quarterfinal, before wrapping up the Bronze medal contest in less than three minutes to secure another medal for Team Nigeria.

🥈 SILVER for Nigeria 🇳🇬 in the men's 4x100m at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow!

The quartet of Favour Ashe, Kayinsola Ajayi, Nicholas Fakorede & Udodi Onwuzurike ran a Season's Best of 38.12s to finish 2nd in a tightly contested race.

They finished behind Australia 🇦🇺 who won in 38.07s, while Canada 🇨🇦 who crossed the line in 2nd place, were disqualified.

He finished behind South Africa's Sinesipho Dambile who took the GOLD in 19.96s.

The Nigerian saved her best for last, launching the Discus out to 39.66m to smash her own F42 World Record by more than 3 metres and secure the Commonwealth title.
