We're excited to spotlight our final business for #Blackbusinessmonth this week, Ginjan Cafe. When brothers and co-founders Mohammed and Rahim Diallo were missing a taste of their home and saw an opportunity in the African Diaspora market, they began creating a ginger drink.

It's a lifestyle boutique that focuses on dressing women for the most important moments in their lives, combining traditional African-American culture with a modern flair. The Brownstone was recently featured in Buy Local East Harlem's "My favorite place" video series.

Union Settlement is proud to participate in our first Harlem Week as new members of the @GHCC ! Our CEO Dr. Williams and our teams were out in action this weekend at Senior Day and a Great Day in Harlem, meeting local residents and businesses and developing new partnerships.

This East Harlem café offers a variety of coffee-based beverages along with sandwiches, salads, pastries and more. They also host events such as live music and poetry nights. Our Economic Development team has had the pleasure of supporting them through our cash mobs in the past.
