Very sad to hear that the great David Hencke has died.
A brave reporter who never shied away from holding power account - cash for questions and the Peter Mandelson loan scandal were just two of his many history-defining scoops.
He was also a lovely man: generous to colleagues coming up through the ranks and kind to his many friends at the Guardian, across Westminster and beyond.

Wonderful SME4Labour Awards Gala Dinner event.
Honoured to receive the Assembly Member of the Year Award. Proud to talk about London’s unity and strength through diversity.
Thank you SME4Labour and @ibrahim_Dogus for the incredible work you do bringing businesses together.

Stratford, it’s been a blast!
After eight busy years, I am no longer a Newham councillor.
Having grow up and spent most of my life in the borough, it was an honour to represent my community in the Town Hall and I’ll never forget it. 🌹
