[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

With committee handover complete, the craziest season officially draws to a close. Thanks for sticking with us for another year - here’s to 21/22!

Final bit of footy for the year, and the girls were able to pick up the runners-up trophies from the Wirksworth Colts 7-a-side tournament today! Well played ladies 😍

[Derbyshire FA @DerbyshireFA]

“They provide for a wide and diverse range of players from all backgrounds, from age seven to adult.

"They're very accommodating and supportive, ensuring the focus remains on players being able to play whilst respecting the integrity of competition.”

Amazing, @DGLLsecretary! ♥️

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

We've had so much fun in our first ever Sunday league season that we've decided to enter the team again next year, alongside the return of our regular BUCS programme 😍

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

Our final league position in the DGLL has been confirmed, a modest mid-table finish is a great achievement considering we were a brand new team, and had no coach until April. Four wins and a draw in our six games in 2021 show just how far we've come! 💙

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

Massive shoutout to our graduating players who played their final game in blorange today 🧡

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

Great performance in our final game of the season to draw 2-2 with third-placed Woodlands! Goals came from Ru, and Leo on her final appearance for the team 💥

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

We finish our debut Sunday league season with a tough matchup vs Woodlands Reserves this afternoon 🧡💙

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

Big 10-7 win against Leicester for our futsal team today! Goals from @Olivia_Mae_ (4), Jodie (4) and @doublenutmegs (2) 💥💥

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

Nine months into the year, we finally have an indoor futsal game 😍 We’re travelling to @ULWFC1 for a lunchtime kick 💥

[University of Derby WFC @uodwfc]

Still recovering from last night. In the most challenging year for sports, our committee and members have done so much to ensure football opportunities and a support network at UODWFC. We’ve had a special year, and @DerbyUnion recognising that is just the icing on the cake! 🧡
