The Raisina Forum for Future of Diplomacy 2026 continued its Ladakh engagement with experiences that brought together the region’s spiritual heritage, ancient history, emerging innovation and vibrant cultural traditions.
At Thiksey Monastery, delegates experienced the enduring Buddhist heritage and architectural legacy of Ladakh, gaining a glimpse into traditions that have shaped the region for centuries.
The journey then moved from ancient heritage to contemporary innovation with a visit to Ladakh’s high-altitude Lilium flower fields, showcasing an emerging agricultural initiative and new possibilities for livelihoods in the high-altitude landscape.
At India’s First Petroglyph Park, delegates encountered traces of Ladakh’s ancient past, offering a window into the people and cultures that inhabited this landscape generations ago.
The engagement culminated in a cultural dinner and get-together, where delegates came together to experience Ladakh’s warmth and hospitality through local cuisine, cultural performances and meaningful conversations.
It was an evening of cultural exchange, bringing together diverse perspectives in an atmosphere of friendship and celebration.
Together, these experiences reflected the many layers of Ladakh - a land where ancient heritage, innovation, sustainability and living culture come together.

As part of their cultural engagement, delegates of the Raisina Forum for Future of Diplomacy 2026 explored the Leh Old Town, discovering its distinctive architectural heritage and the living traditions that continue to shape the historic heart of the city.
Their visit also included the Central Asian Museum, offering insights into Ladakh’s historic role as a crossroads of trade, cultures and civilisations across the Himalayan and Central Asian region.
The cultural experience continued at Rang Thag , where delegates watched the 15-minute short film Last Days of Summer, connecting with contemporary Ladakh through the art of cinema and storytelling.
Following the screening, delegates had an engaging interaction with Stanzin Tankyong, Director and Producer of the film, discussing the creative process, filmmaking in Ladakh and the stories emerging from the region.
From the heritage lanes of Leh to contemporary stories on screen, the experience highlighted Ladakh as a place where history, culture, creativity and contemporary expression come together.
