UTEP will be closed in observance of Juneteenth on Friday, June 19. On this day more than 150 years ago, slaves in Texas were finally proclaimed free after Union Army General Order No. 3 was issued, which brought the freedoms promised by the Emancipation Proclamation.
Today, @TTHealthElPaso and UTEP recognized six accomplished high school seniors who have been selected for the fourth cohort of MedFuture. 🥼🩺
The innovative program serves as a path to medical school for talented students from West Texas. MedFuture provides the students admission to UTEP and, if they meet pre-med requirements at UTEP, they are guaranteed acceptance to Texas Tech Health El Paso’s Foster School of Medicine upon completion of their undergraduate degree.
#PicksUp to these outstanding students!
