International Day of Yoga 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Baliyatra Ground (Silver City Boat Club Parking Area), Cuttack, under the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing." The event was organized by 1 (O) NCC Battalion, Cuttack, under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters, Cuttack. The programme was graced by Col C.K. Nayak, Officiating Group Commander, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Col B. Bhuyan, Col Shantanu Dey, and Lt Col S. Patra. A total of 1,000 NCC Cadets, 25 ANOs, 50 PI Staff, and 4 Officers participated in the celebration and took part in a 45-minute yoga session conducted in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of Ayush. 🧘‍♂️🌿

Under the aegis of NCC Group HQ Cuttack, 7 (Odisha) Bn NCC observed World No Tobacco Day 2026 on 31 May during the Annual Training Camp at Govt SSD Higher Secondary School, Dahapania, Tihidi.

Col SGS Shekhar, SM, Group Commander, NCC Cuttack, visited the Annual Training Camp being conducted by 7(O) Bn NCC at Government SSD Higher Secondary School, Dahapania, Tihidi on 30 May 2026.

🔹 Accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the cadets
🔹 Inspected the administrative and training facilities
🔹 Reviewed the conduct of the camp
🔹 Interacted with Associate NCC Officers and Permanent Instructor Staff
🔹 Took stock of the training activities

Addressing the cadets, the Group Commander exhorted them to imbibe the core values of NCC—discipline, unity and selfless service—and motivated them to strive for excellence in all spheres of life.

👏 He expressed satisfaction with the high standards of training, discipline and administration being maintained by 7(O) Bn NCC and appreciated the battalion's efforts in providing holistic training, including drills, physical training and social service activities.

🏕️ The Annual Training Camp at Dahapania, Tihidi has a strength of over 550 cadets from various schools and colleges of Bhadrak and Balasore districts. The ten-day camp aims to develop leadership qualities, character and a spirit of adventure among the youth.
