X/Twitter, it has been a complete pleasure being Head of Chemistry at Victoria College since 2007 and working there since September 2004. I will now hand over the reins, and this account, to Mrs Pallot & Ms Marks. It's been a blast. All the best, Mr Widdop. x
Year 7 making an acid-base indicator from red cabbage, then testing household substances afterwards...a fun time was had by all, which lots of learning!
Congratulations to all our Chemistry IGCSE students who picked up their results today and to our International A Level students who got their results last week. You all did brilliantly… very proud of you. Hard work pays off! @CambridgeInt@RoySocChem@RSC_EiC@GovJsyCYPES
The task was “simple”… I want pure copper(II) chloride in one week’s time. No practical instructions given… just prior knowledge on compound solubilities and the terms excess/limiting reagent. Let’s see how it goes! #practicalskills#CHEMISTRY#igcse
And that’s it all over… a wonderful set of demos from @CLEAPSS and @SSERCofficial reps. Thank you @theASE for a highly informative 3 days. And a big thanks to @OHAUS_Corp for the wonderful free top pan balance! Back to Jersey for us now…
