تشارك سلطنة عُمان، ممثلةً بوزارة الثروة الزراعية والسمكية وموارد المياه، في أعمال الدورة الـ37 للجنة مصايد الأسماك #COFI37، المنعقدة بمقر منظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة «الفاو» في روما خلال الفترة من 7 إلى 11 سبتمبر 2026م.

ويترأس وفد سلطنة عُمان سعادة المهندس يعقوب بن خلفان البوسعيدي، وكيل الوزارة للثروة السمكية.

وتناقش الدورة استدامة الموارد السمكية، والأمن الغذائي، وتنمية الاستزراع السمكي، ودعم مصايد الأسماك صغيرة النطاق، وتعزيز الإدارة والرقابة ومكافحة الصيد غير القانوني، إلى جانب تطوير التعاون الدولي في إدارة الموارد السمكية.

وتأتي مشاركتنا انطلاقًا من إيمان الصومال بأن موارده البحرية ثروة وطنية وسيادية، وأن استدامتها وحمايتها مسؤولية وطنية وشراكة دولية في آنٍ واحد.

وسنؤكد خلال أعمال الدورة على أهمية مكافحة الصيد غير القانوني وغير المبلّغ عنه وغير المنظّم، وتعزيز الرقابة على أنشطة الصيد، وحماية حقوق الصيادين والمجتمعات الساحلية، ودعم الاستثمار المسؤول في قطاع الثروة السمكية والاقتصاد الأزرق.

كما نتطلع إلى تعزيز التعاون الدولي بما يحقق الإدارة المستدامة لمواردنا البحرية، ويفتح آفاقًا أوسع أمام الصومال للاستفادة من ثروته السمكية، بما يخدم أمنه الغذائي واقتصاده الوطني ومستقبل أجياله.

الصومال يمتلك واحدة من أهم الثروات البحرية في المنطقة، وحمايتها واستثمارها بصورة مستدامة ليست خيارًا، بل حقٌ سيادي ومسؤولية وطنية.
