Really proud of our WSOC players and coaches for an outstanding season: tops in the conference, PACWEST champs, conference player, co-rookie, and coach of the year, and finishing fourth in the country! Tons of celebrate 💙

[VIU Mariners @VIUMariners]

WSOC: tough finish for VIU, dropping a 1-0 decision to Capilano in the @CCAAsportACSC bronze game. Tons of pressure throughout but credit the Capilano defence for a disciplined game.

[VIU Mariners @VIUMariners]

Cheers to the @CCAAsportACSC @CapilanoBlues organizers for an excellent tourney, @SportsCanadaTV @aftncanada for an enjoyable broadcast, and the fans from across Canada who travelled to Squamish to support these outstanding student-athletes

Our @VIUniversity women's soccer squad goes for @CCAAsportACSC national bronze this Sun. afternoon against the host Capilano Blues - 12 pm at CapU Squamish Turf. Four games in four days is a tough test and we're so proud of their skill and grit.

🏀GAME DAY! It's a super Saturday for hoops at @VIUniversity as the Mariners women's and men's basketball teams look to extend winning streaks against the Douglas Royals. Women play at 1pm with the men following at 3pm and fans can also watch online via https://t.co/nCryJE55eu.

[VIU Mariners @VIUMariners]

@aftncanada it is Brooke Ingram in for VIU in net (we only have two sets of keeper kits so Brown was listed #23 on the roster and Ingram as #33 - but it is Ingram wearing the #23 jersey today). Sorry for the confusion!

[VIU Mariners @VIUMariners]

@aftncanada All the info you've shared about the Mariners and the student-athletes has been on point all tournament. Great work

[VIU Mariners @VIUMariners]

@aftncanada Ella Gignac scored a goal against Langara in the 2023 regular season - doesn't show up in conference stats as not all PACWEST game scores are inputted in PrestoStats (makes things tough for folks like you who do proper research!)

[VIU Mariners @VIUMariners]

@aftncanada cheering from Nanaimo - great work on the call as always!

[VIU Mariners @VIUMariners]

#CCAAwsc2024 - Mariners were unable to break through a quick and smothering @GoNomades defence and fall 1-0 to the RSEQ squad. VIU moves to the bronze bracket and play Thursday 10am against Seneca or Brandon. #VIUMariners

[AFTN @aftncanada]

Half time in game 1 at @CCAAsportACSC nationals and Montmorency lead @VIUMariners 1-0.
