Celebrating the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disability on 3 December, we advocate for inclusive food security for persons with disabilities. The vulnerable position of persons with disabilities in food crises should be recognized and acted upon.
Food security initiatives, organized by governments, (I)NGOs or other actors, should include persons with disabilities. We urge stakeholders to secure a fixed seat for persons with disabilities at the table in decision-making processes about their design and implementation.
