Yes, Execute Nidal Hasan. Don’t Make It a Show:
Brigadier General (Ret.) Steven Anderson lays into Hegseth and Trump for turning the Ft. Hood shooter's execution into a public show, arguing that violence and war is sometimes necessary, but should never become entertainment.

Nancy Lacore rose to the rank of Admiral before Pete Hegseth fired her without cause. So when her opponent, who's never served a day, tried to use that firing as an insult at the debate, Lacore didn’t flinch.
South Carolina doesn’t need someone who mocks a Veteran’s service. It needs someone who lived it. That’s @nancylacore.
The USS Lincoln sailors earned their Presidential Unit Citation. But Hegseth doesn’t get to use their resilience to erase how badly he failed them. @GunnySpeaksOut
Iowa Senate candidate Josh Turek was asked about the Iran war during a debate, and his answer was perfect.
Turek understands the cost of forever wars better than almost anyone. As the son of a Vietnam veteran exposed to Agent Orange, he was born with spina bifida leaving him permanently disabled. The generational toll of his father’s service is exactly why he opposes forever wars, and why he’s against the war in Iran.
Troops dying in America's “tussle” with Iran is “worth it” according to Lauri Buckhout. Service should teach you the cost of war, not how to shrug it off. NC-01 deserves a leader who takes this war seriously, they've already got one with Don Davis.
After 321 days at sea, the USS Abraham Lincoln is finally returning home, earning a Presidential Unit Citation after completing one of the longest deployments in modern Navy history.
The Lincoln sparked a national outcry this summer after it was revealed that a sailor tried to throw themselves overboard amid horrific conditions aboard. It later came out that eight sailors attempted to take their own lives during the deployment.
Notably, the Lincoln will dock in San Diego, the same city Trump offered up to be bombed by Iran, not once but twice.
The Lincoln crew have certainly earned their Presidential Citation, yet that does not erase the suffering they endured throughout their deployment. These sailors did everything asked of them and more. But their story should never be repeated.

One Soldier at the polls is a voter. A formation at the polls is a felony.
Hegseth just ordered a military-wide voting stand-down by Oct 15. But 18 U.S.C. § 592 makes it a felony, five years and a lifetime ban from federal office, for any officer to order, bring, or keep troops at a polling place. The very next paragraph protects every service member's right to vote. Same statute. One exception: armed enemies of the United States.
Donald Trump jokes about nuking a couple of American cities in California where Navy and Marines serve along with their families, and his base laughs along. None of it is funny.
Elon Musk is back in Washington, and this time he's headed to the Pentagon. Musk will help lead "Project Meridian," a study meant to shape "the future of U.S. military warfare" by identifying which weapons the Pentagon should mass-produce.
Instead of tapping generals, Hegseth handed the role to Musk, a defense contractor who stands to profit from the very recommendations he'll make. Our military's future should be determined by its own leaders, not a crazed businessman.

JoAnna Mendoza spent 22 years in uniform. She knows what servant leadership looks like, and she knows that Pete Hegseth lacks it. Instead of focusing on the real war in Iran, he's using his position to wage culture wars against his own troops. Arizona, let's elect Mendoza to Congress this November and bring servant leadership back to Washington. @Mendoza4AZ
MAGA is so far gone that Donald Trump can joke about American cities being bombed, and his supporters will laugh along. You know who's not laughing? The millions of Americans living in San Diego and Los Angeles.
Trump: "With the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay ... let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay."
When an Iranian drone struck Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, on March 1st, there were no sirens, no air defenses, and no plan to care for the wounded. Six American service members were killed that day, and the ones who survived are now speaking out. They all deserve better.
AP Exclusive: Survivors of a drone attack that killed six U.S. soldiers question Army leadership over safety and the medical care that followed. https://t.co/eBPdwn6XqO
Big midterm news: Army veteran Dwayne Romero was just added to the DCCC's Red to Blue list, giving him a major boost in his fight to unseat vulnerable House Republican Jeff Hurd in CO-03. As the midterms get closer, Americans want change. See you in November.
Ashley Hinson cast six votes to continue the Iran war. Now she's flip-flopping and saying it should end. Josh Turek's been anti-forever wars from the start.
Iowans have two options: believe Hinson's words, or her record. Veterans have had to make this choice before, and it's why they're backing Josh Turek this November.
The Pentagon is using AI to generate intelligence reports, and it almost caused a new conflict. A special operations analyst's intel identified a Chinese cargo ship as carrying components for a nuclear weapons program. The military quickly sprang into action, launching aircraft and preparing service members to board the ship.
The only problem? None of it was remotely true. The report had been generated in part by an AI chatbot working off flat-out wrong information. Even worse, it wasn't caught until planes were already in the air. The clash was averted this time. But next time, we might not be so lucky.

Arlington Cemetery is hallowed ground. A final resting place for our fallen heroes who were brave enough to serve.
How dare this five-time draft dodger dishonor them by trying to erect a monument to his own vanity?
Veterans will not let him get away with it.
