DAY 2 OF 21 — BLESSED AMONG WOMEN
“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” — Luke 1:42
These were not empty words of praise. Elizabeth spoke them while filled with the Holy Spirit. Scripture itself therefore teaches us to recognise the unique blessedness God bestowed upon Mary.
When Catholics honour Mary, we are not replacing God. We are acknowledging what God Himself accomplished in the woman He chose to be the mother of His Son.
Blessed are you among women, Mother Mary. Pray for us.

DAY 1 OF 21 — SHE SAID YES TO GOD
“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” — Luke 1:38
Mary’s greatness begins with her complete surrender to God. She did not know everything that her YES would demand of her, but she trusted the One who called her. Through that YES, the Word became flesh and entered our world.
May Mary teach us that true faith is not merely believing in God, but surrendering ourselves completely to His will.
Mother Mary, teach us to say YES to God.

Yesterday, the Ozigbo family gathered to pay our final respects to my cousin’s beloved wife, Ogechukwu Clara Ozigbo, as she was laid to rest.
Death is never an easy reality to confront. Yet, for those who have lived with purpose, faith, and love, we find consolation in the promise of God and in the words of Scripture:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
Ogechukwu lived a life marked by love and devotion to her family, kindness to those around her, and an abiding trust in God. Though her departure leaves a painful void, we remain grateful for the life she lived, the love she shared, and the memories she leaves behind.
My deepest condolences go to her dear husband, Ebele Ozigbo, their children, and the entire Ozigbo family, her family, friends, and in-laws. May God strengthen and console everyone who mourns her passing.
As Christians, we grieve, but not without hope. We place our trust in the God who comforts those who mourn and in Christ’s promise of eternal life to all who believe in Him.
May Ogechukwu’s gentle soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may her memory remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
Rest well, Ogechukwu. Until we meet again.
May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
21 DAYS WITH MARY
Beginning this Saturday, August 22 — the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary — I would like to invite you to walk with me on a special 21-day journey with our Mother Mary.
For 21 days, I will share one short reflection each day, accompanied by one of our Marian music videos.
But this will be more than a series about why Catholics love and honour Mary.
I want to share something more personal: why I love her so dearly.
I want us to journey through Scripture and reflect on this extraordinary woman whom God chose to be the Mother of our Lord; the woman who said an unconditional YES to God; the woman who stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross; and the Mother whose enduring instruction to us remains:
“Do whatever He tells you.” — John 2:5
Perhaps you already love our Mother Mary deeply. Perhaps you have questions about why Catholics honour her. Or perhaps you simply wish to experience more deeply the love of a Mother whose entire life points us towards Jesus.
Whichever describes you, please join me.
And I ask you to do one more thing: walk this journey with others. Please repost and share each day’s message and video on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Snapchat, and invite your family and friends to join us.
For 21 days, let us learn together. Let us pray together. Let us honour our Mother together.
And above all, let her lead us closer to Jesus.
21 DAYS WITH MARY begins Saturday, August 22.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

It was an honour to share my thoughts as a Guest of Honour at The Eagles Initiative 2026, organised by the Blazing Generation Initiative, where I had the privilege of engaging with a hall filled with bright, energetic young minds ready to soar.
Nigeria’s greatest asset is her youth. And every opportunity to engage, inspire, and challenge our young people is, for me, an opportunity to invest in the future of our nation.
We must raise a generation of Nigerians who are bold enough to dream, disciplined enough to work, courageous enough to stand for what is right, and grounded enough to lead with integrity.
To every young eagle in that hall — and to every young, aspiring Nigerian — your wings are stronger than you know. Do not allow anyone to clip them with fear, mediocrity, self-doubt, or the temptation to cut corners.
Dream big. Work hard. Stay grounded. Keep your values.
Fly high, but fly right.
My profound gratitude to the Convener, Amb. Arinze Anaegbunam, and the entire Blazing Generation Initiative team for the invitation and, more importantly, for the sterling work they continue to do in raising purpose-driven young leaders across our nation.
Nigeria’s future can indeed be bright. But that future will belong to those who prepare for it — the disciplined, the diligent, the courageous, and the God-fearing.
Keep soaring!

It was a great joy to join Chief Joseph Ezeokafor (Jezco) and his family to rejoice and give thanks to God for His mighty hand of protection over him during his ordeal with kidnappers.
Having listened to him recount his experience, all I can say is that I am convinced he is truly a man of faith. In those difficult moments, God not only preserved his life but also revealed to him, in a profound way, what true faith and faithfulness mean.
We thank God for His mercy, protection, and deliverance. May this testimony continue to strengthen the faith of many.
To God alone be all the glory. May His name be praised forever. Amen.
Over the weekend, I had the privilege of ministering at the Unbeaten Generation Convention, hosted by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Youth Wing of Aguleri Diocese.
My message, “WHAT IF?”, centred on themes I believe are foundational for this generation: Identity, Ancestry, Covenant, and the Return to God.
In a world constantly pulling our young people towards borrowed identities, fleeting validation, and competing definitions of who they should be, I challenged them to return to the most fundamental questions: Who are you? Where do you come from? And, above all, whose are you?
When we truly understand whose we are, our search for identity and ancestry takes on a deeper meaning. It should ultimately lead us back to God — to truth, covenant, alignment, and purpose. A generation rooted in God and conscious of its identity is a generation that cannot easily be shaken, regardless of what the times may bring.
I was delighted to be joined at the convention by a few close friends whose presence added even more depth to the experience. Special thanks to Dr. Tochukwu Belonwu, who graciously shared his remarkable journey and testimony with the young people. His openness and message resonated deeply with many in the room, and I believe the seeds planted through his testimony will continue to bear fruit.
My profound gratitude goes to the leadership and organisers of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Youth Wing, Aguleri Diocese, for the invitation and for the excellent work they continue to do in raising an unbeaten generation — one grounded in faith, identity, truth, and purpose.
And to every young person who came with an open heart and received the message with such enthusiasm, I say: keep searching for truth, keep seeking God, and keep walking in alignment with Him.
The return to God begins with each of us. I believe many seeds were planted this weekend, and by His grace, they will yield a great harvest.
God bless the Unbeaten Generation.
God bless our young people.
And may God continually draw us back to Himself.
It was a honour to join family, friends, and well wishers as we celebrated a truly remarkable woman, Lady Theresa Ezeuko (Oriaku Jesus), on the occasion of her 80th birthday.
To witness eight decades of a life so richly lived, and so generously given to others, is a privilege, and I am grateful to have been part of the celebration.
Oriaku Jesus is a name that speaks for itself, a testament to a life anchored in faith, service, and an unwavering devotion to God. Over the years, Lady Theresa has been a pillar of strength and grace within our community, Amesi, in particular and every human who has had contact with her or felt her influence, nurturing not just her immediate family but touching countless lives with her wisdom, warmth, and her examplary life of quiet, steadfast virtue. Hers is a legacy built not on grand pronouncements, but on decades of consistent, faithful living.
At 80, she remains a beacon of what it means to age with dignity and purpose. Her story is a reminder to all of us, particularly the younger generation, that true fulfilment is found in service, faith, and the relationships we nurture along the way.
May God continue to grant Lady Theresa Ezeuko many more years in good health, sound mind, and abundant joy, and may her light continue to guide and inspire us all.
Happy 80th Birthday, Oriaku Jesus.
I recently had the privilege of sharing some deep reflections with over 2,200 young secondary school students of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha on a question I believe every young person should confront early in life:
WHO ARE YOU BECOMING?
We spoke about purpose, choices and consequences, character, excellence, the pressures of social media, discovering God’s purpose for our lives, and above all, the importance of putting God first.
My central message was simple: becoming a doctor, lawyer, engineer, entrepreneur or successful professional is wonderful—but far more important is the kind of person you are becoming.
Every choice matters. Every friendship matters. Every habit matters. Every day, we are quietly writing the story of the person we will eventually become.
Following popular demand, I have now rendered the message in a video, so that many more young people can benefit from it.
If you have young students in your family, church, school or community, I strongly encourage you to get them to watch it. Please also share it with parents, teachers and other young people. I am confident there is a lot they will take away from it.
Watch the video here:
"WHO ARE YOU BECOMING? – Watch on YouTube" (https://t.co/3V7GwAvV2A)
My prayer is that we raise a generation that chooses God over everything else, truth over lies, character over compromise, excellence over mediocrity, courage over fear, service over selfishness, integrity over corruption, purpose over popularity, and faithfulness over fame.
Put God first, and everything else will find its rightful place.
May God help our young people become everything He created them to be.

I am deeply humbled to have received the Community Role Model Award from the Anambra State Town Unions Council (ASTUC) Youth Wing over the weekend, in recognition of my contributions to societal development and youth empowerment in Anambra State and beyond.
I have always believed that true leadership is measured not by the titles we hold, but by the lives we touch, the opportunities we create, and the hope we inspire in others.
Every intervention, every initiative, and every young person we have supported has been driven by one conviction: a better Anambra, and indeed a better Nigeria, must be built from the ground up — one person, one community, and one opportunity at a time.
This recognition, therefore, is not mine alone. It belongs to the young people across Anambra whose resilience, talent, and hunger for opportunity continually inspire me. It belongs to every individual who has chosen service over self and continues to work genuinely for a better society.
And it belongs to the men and women of The Valiant Movement, who are working every day to raise a new generation of courageous, values-driven leaders and to give our young people stronger reasons to believe, to hope, to build, and to stay.
I receive this honour not simply as recognition of what has been done, but as a reminder of how much more remains to be done.
The work continues.
My profound gratitude to the ASTUC Youth Wing for this honour and for the important work you do in our communities.
May God bless you and prosper all your worthy endeavours.

Over the weekend, I had the distinct honour of serving as Chairman at the wedding of Mary-Vera Somfeechukwu Ucheze and Chigozie Betrand Azodo — a beautiful union between two families I hold in the highest esteem.
Occasions like this remind us that beyond wealth, titles, and worldly achievement, some of the greatest legacies we can leave behind are character, faith, and the values we instil in our children.
Mary-Vera and Chigozie carry with them the good names, values, and hopes of their families. As they begin this new chapter together, I have every confidence that they will build a home anchored in love, strengthened by faith, guided by mutual respect, and sustained by a shared sense of purpose.
To the newlyweds, may you always remember that a strong marriage is not built on perfection, but on two people continually choosing one another, growing together, forgiving readily, and keeping God at the centre of their home.
May your union be fruitful. May your home be filled with peace and laughter. May you grow old together in love, friendship, good health, and joy.
To both families, congratulations on this beautiful joining of hearts and homes.
Mary-Vera and Chigozie, may your joy know no end. God bless your union.
It was a privilege to deliver the keynote address at the Anambra Educators' Conference 2.0 (ANECON 2026), convened by RADEM Consultancy Edu Services Limited, where I spoke on "The Future Is Now: Reclaiming the Purpose of Education in a Digital Age."
My central message was simple: while technology is transforming the classroom, the true purpose of education remains the formation of the whole human person. The greatest question before us is not merely how we use Artificial Intelligence or digital tools, but what kind of human beings we are preparing for the future. Education must produce not only knowledgeable graduates, but men and women of character, wisdom, critical thinking, creativity and service.
I also challenged us to rethink our educational priorities by focusing on three enduring tests of educational leadership: Quality, Affordability and Relevance. We must create learning environments where excellence can thrive, ensure that no child is denied education because of poverty, and prepare our young people not for yesterday's world, but for the rapidly changing world they will inherit.
Above all, I reminded the gathering that the future is not coming; it is already here. Our children are already living in a digital world. Our responsibility, therefore, is to ensure that technology remains a servant, never a master, and that we raise a generation whose character grows as fast as its capability.
My sincere appreciation to RADEM Consultancy Edu Services Limited for creating this important platform, and to every educator whose daily sacrifice continues to shape the future of Anambra State and our nation. As I urged at the close of my address, let this conversation not end with another successful conference, but become the beginning of a movement to reclaim the true purpose of education and build a generation ready not only for tomorrow's opportunities, but also for its responsibilities.
Dear @elonmusk
I recently watched clips from an interview in which you shared your thoughts about the future. One statement particularly caught my attention: your suggestion that in ten years, by around 2036, money may no longer matter in the way it does today.
If that is truly your conviction, then I have a challenge for you: live it.
You have amassed extraordinary wealth. If wealth will become less significant in the future, then perhaps the greatest use of it is now—while it can still profoundly shape humanity's future. I encourage you to commit a meaningful portion of your wealth every year to solving problems that will outlive all of us.
May I offer one place to begin: Africa.
Africa has given immeasurably to the development of the modern world. For centuries, her people, her resources, and her potential have fueled the rise of global powers, yet she remains home to some of the world's deepest developmental challenges.
As a son of Africa, you have a unique opportunity to help rewrite that story.
And if I may be even more specific, I would point to Nigeria—Africa's most populous nation and arguably the country whose transformation would have the greatest ripple effect across the continent.
My appeal is not for charity or traditional aid. We have had decades of those. My appeal is for something far more enduring: help us build systems.
Help us create the governance, institutions, technology, and constitutional framework that can unlock Nigeria's potential and make the nation efficient, accountable, and sustainably prosperous.
Imagine committing $50 billion annually toward long-term transformation, with a meaningful portion dedicated to supporting a peaceful restructuring and institutional renewal of Nigeria. Such an investment would not simply change one country; it could alter the trajectory of an entire continent.
If this vision resonates with you, I would welcome the opportunity to share a practical framework for how such a transformation could be responsibly designed and implemented.
History remembers those who accumulated wealth.
It reveres those who used it to transform civilizations.
May God grant you wisdom as you consider the legacy you wish to leave.
My name is Valentine Ozigbo, Founder and Convener of The Valiant Movement—a non-partisan movement committed to building a generation of ethical leaders and responsible citizens under the banner of Courage. Character. Service.
*VALENTINE OZIGBO PAYS LAST RESPECTS TO HON. ENGR. CYRIL EGWUATU*
Valentine Ozigbo, Convener of The Valiant Movement, joined family, friends, associates, and well-wishers to pay his last respects to Hon. Engr. Cyril Egwuatu, former Member of the House of Representatives for Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, as he was laid to rest on Friday, July 31, 2026..
Hon. Egwuatu, who represented the constituency from 2011 to 2015, will be remembered for his commitment to grassroots development and his contributions to the National Assembly during a formative period in Nigeria's democratic journey. Beyond his professional accomplishments as an engineer, he was widely respected for his unwavering dedication to improving the lives of his constituents and strengthening democratic representation.
Speaking at the funeral, Ozigbo described Hon. Egwuatu's passing as a profound loss to his family, Anambra State, and Nigeria's political landscape.
«"Nigeria has lost a patriot. Our political space has lost a committed voice. And I have lost a trusted associate and a steadfast believer," Ozigbo said. "He was not just a public servant; he was a man of conviction—one who stood firmly for what he believed in, even when it was not convenient."»
Reflecting on their relationship, Ozigbo described the late lawmaker as one of the rare leaders whose commitment to shared ideals never wavered, noting that his service was driven by a sincere desire to build a better, more just, and more functional society.
"At a time when many wavered, he remained steadfast. At a time when many calculated, he remained principled," Ozigbo added. "He understood that leadership is not merely about occupying positions, but about advancing purpose, shaping institutions, and standing for something greater than self."»
Ozigbo urged Nigerians, especially those entrusted with public office, to honour Hon. Egwuatu's memory by embracing the values of integrity, courage, and selfless service that defined his life. He said the late legislator's legacy should inspire a new generation of leaders committed to nation-building above personal interest.
He concluded by extending his heartfelt condolences to the Egwuatu family, friends, political associates, and all who mourn his passing, praying that Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest and comforts everyone he leaves behind.
A few days ago, I had the honour of addressing the bright minds of the Faculty of Social Sciences Students Association (FOSSA) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) at the VCO Nation Building Symposium & Merit Grants, organised in my honour.
It was particularly meaningful to return to a faculty that conferred on me the honour of Life Patron in 2023. That recognition carries with it a continuing responsibility to inspire, mentor, and invest in the next generation of leaders.
Speaking in that hall full of young, sharp, and hopeful Nigerians reinvigorated me and reminded me once again why I have committed my life to the work of nation-building. Our future is not something we wait for. It is something we build deliberately, one young mind at a time.
I spoke to them about purpose, resilience, and the responsibility that comes with knowledge, as well as the courage it takes to lead with integrity in a country that badly needs it. I left even more convinced that Nigeria's greatest asset is not beneath her soil—it is in the ambition, character, and potential of her young people.
We also used the opportunity to provide merit grants to 20 outstanding students with cumulative grade point averages of 4.5 and above who were in need of financial support. Investing in excellence is one of the surest ways to build the Nigeria we all desire, and I hope this gesture encourages them to continue striving for even greater heights.
To FOSSA and everyone at UNIZIK who made this possible, thank you for the honour and the warm reception. To the merit grant recipients, keep shining. This is only the beginning for you.
Onward, together. 🇳🇬

AUGUST 2026: THE MONTH OF ALIGNMENT AND ASSIGNMENT
July has come and gone, but it leaves me with a grateful heart.
As my birth month, it gave me another opportunity to reflect on the goodness of God. I am deeply thankful for the gift of life, the kindness shown by family and friends, and the many prayers, messages, and expressions of love that made the celebration so memorable.
Looking back over the past twelve months, with their joys and disappointments, victories and setbacks, answered prayers and difficult lessons, I can only say, like the prophet Jeremiah, "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness."
Above all, I give God all the glory.
A new month always invites us to ask a deeper question, not only, "What do I want to achieve?" but, "Who is God calling me to become?"
We often pray for greater opportunities, but throughout Scripture, God prepares the person before He reveals the assignment. Before David wore a crown, he learned faithfulness in the wilderness.
Before Esther stood before a king, she was prepared in private. Before the disciples were sent into the world to accomplish the Great Commission, they were first transformed in the upper room.
That is why I have chosen to see August as the Month of Alignment and Assignment. God does His greatest work in us before He does His greatest work through us.
He aligns our hearts with His purpose, renews our minds with His truth, strengthens our character through life's experiences, and teaches us to trust Him before entrusting us with greater responsibility.
As Proverbs reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
This month, let us seek more than success; let us seek faithfulness. Let us pursue excellence without compromising our values, influence without losing our humility, and leadership that is expressed through service.
Every lasting transformation begins with the individual. Nations change when people change. Families become stronger when ordinary men and women choose obedience over convenience, integrity over compromise, and purpose over comfort.
My prayer for each of us is that August will bring clarity where there is uncertainty, discipline where there has been distraction, courage where there has been fear, and opportunities that are unmistakably ordained by God.
May He establish the work of our hands, order our steps, and use each of us to make a meaningful difference wherever He has planted us.
Happy New Month.
May August be a month of Alignment, Assignment, and Abundant Grace.

It was a great honour to serve as the Keynote Speaker at the Onitsha Young Catholic Students (ONYCAS) Sign-Out Conference, a beautiful thanksgiving celebration marking the successful completion of secondary education by these remarkable young men and women.
Speaking to such bright, faith-filled minds reaffirmed my conviction that the future of our society rests in the hands we choose to nurture today. More than ever, I remain committed to playing my part in mentoring and raising a generation of leaders defined by courage, character, service, and a deep sense of purpose.
To the graduating students, you have crossed an important milestone. As you begin a new chapter, carry with you the values of faith, discipline, integrity, and excellence that have been instilled in you. Remember always that the most important question is not merely what you will become, but who you are becoming.
To the parents, guardians, teachers, chaplains, and all who have invested in these young lives, thank you for your sacrifices and steadfast commitment to raising a generation rooted in Christ and equipped to make a positive difference in the world.
May God continue to guide, protect, and elevate our young people as they step boldly into the future He has prepared for them.
Deo Gratias. 🙏🏽

Once again, It was a privilege to join the Rotary Club of Onitsha Metropolis for the installation of Rotarian Dr. Ezuma Smart Chinedu as its 25th President and to share a keynote on "The Making of a Transformational Leader."
My message was simple: true leadership begins with self, grows through service to others, and finds its highest expression in transforming lives and society.
Congratulations once again to President Ezuma Smart Chinedu. Wishing him a purposeful and impactful tenure.
Here are a few highlights from a memorable evening.
