@TheTrialPodcast also had an ‘expert’ in autism who sounded as though they were subtly sympathetic towards Eddie as ‘a person with autism’.Please address this; Brianna’s neurodivergence was only reported much later on but Eddie’s was much earlier on. One does trump the other (4)

Ok, but why is no one talking about the fact that Brianna Ghey was autistic and had ADHD, which made her even more vulnerable as a transgender teen, but all media sources were talking about the evil perps being neurodivergent, in particular, Eddie Ratcliffe’s being autistic? (1)

It’s almost as if being a cis white male with a two-parent family and other privilege trumps anything and anyone else - Imagine that? Even though it’s not explicitly said, I feel like Eddie got some sympathy because of this and as a LGBTQ black female, it pisses me off. (2)

Not to mention, it really makes people’s representation of autism the same old ‘white male’ character, which makes anyone else who’s NOT that harder to get a diagnosis. Also, let’s not forget he knew what he was doing. We do usually have a good, if not strong moral compass. (3)

Just seen autism blamed for the murder of that poor girl. One of the suspects is autistic apparently.

I just wanted to warn all my autistic and/or trans friends (so that's pretty much all of you) so you can prepare for all the extra bullshit headed our way

@Ms_Deathwish Yeah, I was listening to the podcast and when I heard both subjects were diagnosed post arrest, I was concerned. This will either lead to the perps getting off lightly as their defense will us this, or our community will be affected negatively… perhaps both?

Just a follow up on this post for anyone reading it, @pizzahutuk have accepted this is unacceptable behaviour but I won’t be hearing the outcome, nor will I get any compensation for it.

@pizzahutuk I just had a terrible birthday experience at your Surrey Quays branch. Your MANAGER completely ignored me while I was holding the baby, waiting for a seat. She walked past multiple times and not a word to me about the wait time. (1)

This is the exact restaurant I’ve come to for most of my birthdays since childhood. It’s ruined my fond memories and left me very upset too, not to mention my toddler not having his first Pizza Hut experience. I don’t think I’ll be using this branch again (6)

So, I didn’t stay for the meal in the end. I left with an empty stomach & feeling extremely upset. After she left, a kind worker apologised & asked us to stay, Whilst a white couple had come in & the same manager was talking to them about seating, but had ignored us earlier (5)
