Today is my 49th birthday. 🎂❤️

I type this from the hospital lobby, waiting for the doors to open so I can go feed my Dad breakfast. 😂

Not exactly how I planned to spend my birthday. My eyes are tired for lack of adequate sleep, but I am most grateful for life, health and vitality.

At 32, I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy by a cardiologist. He told me my heart had been severely damaged by the heart disease I developed during a pregnancy complicated by preeclampsia.

He told me I wouldn't live to see 40.

Today, I am 49. 🙏🏽

That journey through heart disease built my faith in God.

It also led me to discover my purpose and birth my business, Fit Nutrition.

Through that journey, I've had the privilege of helping many clients and customers take better care of their bodies and pursue better health.

I went from taking more than 7 tablets every day to taking zero today.

At 49, I have never felt more alive.

My story has taught me that a medical diagnosis does not have to be the end of the story.

God has the final say.

I may not be celebrating this birthday the way I planned, but I am deeply grateful for the many blessings God has given me.
