A high-protein, heat-resilient mungbean variety developed by #BanarasHinduUniversity is set to reach farmers, with the University transferring the technology of HUM 27 (Malaviya Jankranti) to an industry partner.

The technology transfer is expected to facilitate large-scale seed multiplication and the eventual commercial availability of the variety. The University has inked an MoU for the formal transfer of technology to Olympus Crop Care Ltd.

As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the South Campus situated in Barkachha and enhance the on-campus amenities and infrastructure there, Banaras Hindu University has launched a Telemedicine facility at the campus' Health Centre.
