The Braveheart! A relief to see him lucid and recovering.
Captain Smit, the physical wounds will heal, but the trauma of what you've been through will be the bigger challenge. I wish you a speedy recovery.
You haven't only saved 170+ passengers onboard the aircraft-- you've earned the blessing of their families as well. Get welll soon.

#Exclusive | Where Was He Sitting? What Did He See Inside The Aircraft? | Flydubai Passenger, Almog Italie Explains What Happened in an Exclusive Conversation With NDTV's @vedikas
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
"This morning, there was a serious security incident on a flight from Dubai to Israel. Almost all the passengers on the flight were Israelis. During the flight, as they approached the country, one of the pilots stabbed the second pilot, and apparently tried to crash the plane with everyone on board.
I spoke with one of the Israeli passengers. He told me that the plane went into a spin and began to dive. He told me that, somehow or other, he managed to break into the cockpit with one of the crew members, and that together they neutralized the stabbing pilot while he was trying to sabotage the plane's systems. Another flight crew on board entered the cockpit and managed to stabilize the plane.
I salute these heroes, who displayed exceptional resourcefulness and courage. They saved many lives. They prevented a huge disaster.
The plane landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. All passengers are out of danger. The stabbing pilot was arrested and is currently being interrogated by the Saudi authorities.
We are maintaining constant communication with the relevant authorities to ensure the ongoing well-being of the passengers and their safe return home.
I have instructed the security services to prepare for additional potential threats.
We are holding ongoing situation assessments, and we will update you as the situation develops."

@vedikas I'm not a student of journalism, but I've always felt your greatest strength is seeing the human side of every story. Whether covering child suicides, the Nepal floods, or our athletes' triumphs, your stories reflect empathy, sincerity, and humanity. Don't change @VedikaS.
At an event packed with stars from Bollywood, cricket and OTT, some of the loudest cheers at #NDTVYuva were reserved for an IAS officer.
Tukaram Mundhe — Maharashtra’s Food & Drug Administration Commissioner — spoke bluntly about food adulteration, public health and why we can’t keep blaming “the system” when we are all part of it.
His message to celebrities endorsing paan and gutka was equally direct: if you’re asking others to consume it, start with yourself and your own family.
The young audience treated him like a superstar. Not something you often see with a bureaucrat.

The Western Ghats have their own little piece of the galaxy on Earth, and it’s a frog!
Found nowhere else in the world, the Galaxy Frog (Melanobatrachus indicus) has pale stars scattered across dark skin and flashes of orange beneath. It was rediscovered in 1997 after decades out of sight and spends much of its life hidden beneath fallen logs.
Here is the intriguing part: it has no visible eardrums or vocal sac, and no audible call has been documented. Could those star-like spots help it communicate ! Dr Rajkumar K. P., @rajkumar_kp3 whose fieldwork has brought this elusive frog into the spotlight, is working to understand its secret life.

A bear family piled into a parked car in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on Friday, after the adult bear skillfully opened one of the vehicle's doors.
The bears snatched items from the car which they later discarded in the parking lot. https://t.co/w8UAUB5zwp
What will the next war look like? And is India ready for it?
A fascinating day at the #NDTVDefenceSummit examining a battlefield being transformed at extraordinary speed.
AI. Drones. Autonomous systems. Cyber. Space. Electronic warfare. Jointness. Technological sovereignty.
The nature of military advantage is changing. Increasingly, it may belong not just to those with the biggest arsenals, but to those who can see faster, decide faster, adapt faster and strike faster.
Some moments from a day of conversations on how war is changing — and how India must change with it.

However short the visit to Calcutta, if you've been born and brought up in this city, it does something to you.
Of course, there are the obvious reasons. Family. Old friends. Familiar faces. The places that know you before you became whoever you are today.
But Calcutta also has a way of holding on.
It doesn't move too fast. It doesn't constantly reinvent itself. Things here don't change with quite the same urgency they do in other cities. There are constants. The old shop is still there. The same roads, the same adda, the same rhythms. A city that, in many ways, remembers.
And perhaps that's what feels so healing about coming back.
The world may be moving at a dizzying pace outside, but Calcutta gives you a little thehraav. A sense of being grounded. Of slowing down enough to breathe, to remember, to simply be.
Maybe that's what home does.
It doesn't always pull you back for long.
Sometimes, it just holds you for a little while. #kolkata #home
Remarkable clarity. Command of detail. A very high level of articulation.
In his first major public address as Chief of the Army Staff, General Dhiraj Seth offers a compelling window into how the Indian Army is thinking about the changing character of war.
From AI, drones and technology reshaping the battlefield to the enduring importance of boots on the ground. From Atmanirbharta to preparing for conflicts that may stretch far longer than individual battles.
Complex ideas, explained with precision, authority and conviction.
A significant address from India’s new Army Chief. Well worth watching in full.
