🚨(1)BREAKING: Christian community police officer wins settlement after being forced out of his role for questioning and criticising Islam during diversity training.
Luke Salmons, who has been supported by the Christian Legal Centre, was suspended for six months, forced to resign and put on a police barring list after he had questioned radical Islam in a training session.
He had been told that the session was a 'safe place' for discussion, but after expressing his beliefs, the consequences were devastating.
After taking legal action, his case has now been settled on confidential terms, however his story raises serious concerns about free speech and religious freedom in UK policing.

I'm sure those who hate you are fuming right now. They said you abandoned him and they expected Madzibaba to abandon you as well but nah.
Welcome back our citizens' hero, that smile says it all
Now this is majoring in pettiness on steroids. Unlike other politicians, that's a monikor that's now deeply entrenched for him. I use it too.
It's not a sign of endearment. There is so much going on at the moment, and you are doing a great job to get it out there. Focus on that!
Don’t forget those who cheered him on - those who held spaces to tell us he was a champion of democracy. That he was fighting a dictator called @nelsonchamisa. Those who stood up to say they know him. They are part of this.
A HERO’S WELCOME…It was a pleasure to welcome Citizens’ Hero, Godfrey Karembera, affectionately known as Madzibaba veShanduko and family, to our offices in Harare. A loyal, committed, and dedicated cadre, he remains steadfast and determined in the pursuit of a New Great Zimbabwe within our lifetime.
We extend our profound appreciation to the Citizens Welfare Bureau and to all the citizens who supported and contributed to his family’s welfare throughout this difficult period of persecution. Your solidarity and generosity have been truly inspiring.
The citizens are organizing.#Chapwati #NewGreatZimbabwe
IT WAS ALL ABOUT ED POWER GAMES…ED worked with Tshabangu to engineer illegal recalls that ultimately handed ZANU-PF a fraudulent two-thirds parliamentary majority, in clear violation of both the law and democratic principles.
Unfortunately, when the recalls began, many failed to recognize that this was part of a long-planned strategy orchestrated by ED. It was never about the claims that the CCC lacked a constitution or formal structures. In Zimbabwe you can not submit party candidates to ZEC without a party constitution. Parliament and Mudenda were in possession of CCC constitution but chose to ignore it on instructions from his Zpf Boss. Those no constitution and nil structures narratives were merely a smokescreen.
Some individuals, driven by their disagreements with Nelson Chamisa, celebrated the recalls, unaware that they were in fact celebrating the erosion of democracy and the weakening of our nation. The foundation for the current constitutional amendment agenda was laid in 2023 through those engineered and unlawful recalls.
However, all is not lost. The real struggle lies ahead. The task before us is to continue fighting for a Citizens' Government—one that reflects the true will and aspirations of the people of Zimbabwe. The future of our country depends on the determination of its citizens to defend voice, agency and fundamental rights .
I understand your frustration. Many Zimbabweans feel the same anger, disappointment, and sense of helplessness when they see institutions that should protect citizens being used to protect those in power.
But history teaches us that governments do not derive their strength from the police, the army, or even the law. Their ultimate strength comes from the consent, participation, and cooperation of the people- THE CITIZENS. When citizens lose hope, withdraw from civic engagement, and accept that nothing can change, those in power become even stronger.
You are right that elections alone are not enough. Social media alone is not enough. Complaining alone is not enough. But neither is despair a strategy.
The challenge before us is to build a stronger, more organized, and more united citizens' movement—one that goes beyond personalities, beyond political parties, and beyond moments of outrage. Sustainable change requires patience, sacrifice, organization, and courage.
Many supporters have lost hope because they expected change to come quickly. That disappointment is understandable. But surrendering hope guarantees the very outcome we fear.
The fight for democracy, constitutionalism, and accountable leadership is not won in a single election cycle or a single protest. It is won when citizens remain committed, organized, and determined despite setbacks.
Zimbabwe belongs to its citizens. The responsibility before us is not to give up, but to find lawful, peaceful, and effective ways to make our collective voice impossible to ignore. And The Citizens shall govern!
Ndatenda.
@nelsonchamisa@innocentmaruza7 What we are dealing with now are effects of 2023. Zanu Pf laid foundations to this using some of our comrades. However as Pope Francis said, “spes non confundit”. There is hope. Zanu Pf will not emerge victorious through the route they have chosen.
"I do not believe in the mutilation of the Constitution. I am a constitutionalist, and I believe in constitutionalism. Any leader who does not believe in constitutionalism is not worthy of leadership," said Nelson Chamisa in reference to Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3.
@nelsonchamisa
He certainly didn’t do that single handily so if you can’t acknowledge a team what are you acknowledging and many in the team had little time or respect for Welshman but did what had to be done
That’s a really childish answer I think that you have to acknowledge many played a role from long back that lead to the achieved sadly in Mat South result wasn’t more candidates wining but certainly Mat North was a lot better. Definitely you cannot put that down to one person
This obsession about @nelsonchamisa is now at steroids level click baiting
Stop this very desperate abuse of the man's name please.!
FYI there would be no CAB 3 today where it not for the Zanu-PF lite SG Tshabangu recalls that created the current fake 2/3 majority
Chamisa defeated Agenda 2030 / CAB3 in August 2023 regardless of the criticism levelled against him by his detractors.
That should have been ordinarily enough in normal democracies. Revisionism aside, some in the platforms you have highlighted openly worked with Tshabangu.
He remains a proxy. Working with him was tantamount to aiding & abetting ED vicariously before many were aware what the end game was.
The same people who were dizzy & late to clock up on the endgame at the time are probably the right audience to suck up to the latest circus act - of yesteryear villains suddenly prancing about & pontificating the gospel of masquerading as knights in shining amour.
To vocalise in opposition to #CAB3 is noteworthy but can never be an adequate bulwark against it's promulgation & is certainly nowhere near enough Chamisa's achievements in denying ED his cherished electoral threshold in a certified rigged election.
It's those achievements that's forced ED into making desperate manoeuvres which have ended up exposing him.
It's within the realms of human mortality that after investing every morsel in your bone to attain a certain outcome, the sense of betrayal can be so overwhelming as to temporarily knock one off balance.
Much more importantly, as much as I get your point & understand it's significance optictally, I remain unpersuaded that it would have been sufficient to derail ED given how doggedly he is pursuing #CAB3, particularly in a decidedly authoritarian environment!
Mind you we still don't have a rational explanation to account for the actions of the likes of Biti, Ncube & others at the time & you seem to skirt around it yourself!
