I am RIDICULOUSLY excited to announce that the reason I've been a bit quiet this year is that I've been working on the soundtrack for @obsidian's new game @AvowedtheGame. This is probably THE bucket list item for me, musically speaking.
Thanks in no small part to the incredible work of the team behind Avowed, I'm excited to be a part of your adventure in The Living Lands and hopefully give you the same feelings, sense of adventure, and awe that these types of games give me.
You know, now that Spitfire has turned LABS into subscription garbage, it'd be a REAL shame if someone were to launch a new series of free instruments that run in a free plugin...
...and happened to have the Polybrute 12 to kick things off.
REQUIRED RESHOOTS WITH NO EXTRA COMPENSATION.
God forbid a small creator do something mildly wrong and then potentially have to spend hours (or days if it's a really thorough video) reshooting and re-editing the content to your exact needs and specifications.
@acjohanson@output@Ubiquitous_HQ Meh, don't. If something is useful to you and provides value creatively then whatever. Not trying to shame anyone who uses their products - just want to spotlight their garbage marketing firm they hired and gross approach to influencers who produce this kind of content.
Hey everyone: if you see anyone posting a video about @output soon, here's a fun look at the inner workings of how you shill garbage.
Also @output - your friends at @Ubiquitous_HQ have been annoying me and I'd love to talk about your brief and bullshit upcoming campaign.
I can say MANY times in the early days of my channel, I'd get an NFR for something and then months later come up with a new video concept that would do better or even really pop off in the algorithm especially as my channel grew.
Also hey Devin at @Ubiquitous_HQ...
Like 3 emails is more than enough my guy - it's not me, it's you. Take a hint.
The whole 'ultimatum' thing is real damn trashy and I think we should break up. I'm just not that into you.π
@Ubiquitous_HQ and @output are really blatantly ignoring the fact that most creators (especially small channels) are solo operations and are always a labor of love. Hell, I still lose money on my channel at 300k+ subs to make my vids happen or at best barely break even.
I've never used arcade, and now I know I'll definitely never touch it and happily recommend that my audience doesn't either. You obviously have no real respect for creators beyond them doing your bidding sticking to the script to shill the lowest common denominator.
Congrats.
What @output and other brands conveniently forget to mentions is: months down the line, maybe they change their affiliate payout from 20% (if you're lucky) to 5%. Or they cancel their program altogether (which has happened to me many times back when I did this type of content)
Most of these companies give you the 'deal' of 'hey we have an affiliate program and you can make a BUNCH of money if your video does well!' to make it sound like their bullshit up-front payments for you to do the work of an entire department of people are to be expected.
For small creators who I'm sure these idiots at @Ubiquitous_HQ are harassing:
The real problem here is your video is up FOREVER and there's nothing saying that your video doesn't explode in the algorithm 6+ months down the road.
I've had this happen myself many times over
