Today I am proud to join one of the coolest, most illustrious groups there is: people laid off by vice. My number was finally called after seven and a half years of service. Hit up your boy if you wanna pay me to help you make ill internet content.
so incredibly upset that so many of my talented colleagues were laid off today—especially at a time when we need their work the most. there were many people who I looked up to and learned how to be a journalist from and I don’t really know where we go from here.
I’m heartbroken and furious all over again today. Continuing to lose talent has driven this company, which once provided me with my dream job, into the ground.
gutted once again by this latest round of layoffs at VICE. these are all massively talented people, many i've had the honor of working alongside for years, who put everything they had into this company.

The end reads: "As always, VICE Union stands in solidarity with our laid off colleagues, who helped make this company what it was, but no longer is."
Today is yet another really rough day in media; dozens of my Vice colleagues are being laid off globally and we just got news that Jezebel, where I worked for years, is being shut down.
The WGA and AMPTP have reached a tentative agreement. This was made possible by the enduring solidarity of WGA members and extraordinary support of our union siblings who stood with us for over 146 days. More details coming after contract language is finalized. #WGAstrike
We are still collecting money for our former colleagues who are waiting on their severance checks from VICE. If you'd like to donate: https://t.co/6BEY8HaoaF
