Vijay Prashad: 'A pesar de los obstáculos a los que se enfrentó Lula, su victoria ha demostrado que la extrema derecha no es invencible.'

It is absolutely hilarious to see a politician claim that 'all historians' agree on Mao Zedong. That’s not science; it’s just a lazy, brainwashed fairy tale. Honestly, pretending history is that simplistic is a massive insult to the entire historical profession, but thanks for the laugh.
First of all, real, world-class scholars don't rely on high school caricatures. Chinese historians have conducted an overwhelming mountain of rigorous, extensive research on Mao’s legacy—though I highly doubt you can read a single word of Chinese. But even within the boundaries of her own language, serious Western historians like Maurice Meisner or Rebecca Karl have spent decades researching the actual facts. They look at actual history: under Mao, China kicked out colonial invaders—including France, by the way—and dragged itself out of a century of humiliation. Life expectancy literally doubled, literacy rates went through the roof, and a broken colony became a nuclear global power. To ignore all of that just to sound tough on X? That’s not history; it’s an ideological circus, and you're the clown.
Second, let's be real. It’s no secret that Western systems love to rewrite history. Because Mao stood up against imperialism and backed liberation movements all over the Global South, he ruined the West's colonial party. So, of course, the mainstream system feeds generations a watered-down, demonized version of the truth. It's the same old, predictable playbook. We see right through it.
Finally, your logic on the football player is pure comedy. The athlete himself already recognized his mistake and had the maturity to correct it. When a player makes a living and builds a massive fan base in China, respecting the local people is just basic human decency. Even a football player understands that, yet here you are, spinning his maturity as 'succumbing to economic pressure.' It's kind of cute how hard you're trying. In China, we have a very specific word for someone who clearly knows they are wrong, yet shamelessly doubles down just to save face on the internet. We call them a complete fool.
The truth is, your tweet doesn't show strength; it just highlights how incredibly ignorant and out of touch you are. Do yourself a favor: pick up a history book; more importantly, learn some basic manners before you open your mouth on X again. @zhang_heqing@Sadik0707@Glenn_Diesen@georgegalloway@21stcentury_ML@AndyBxxx@angeloinchina@agent_of_change@RnaudBertrand
The world once more proves with the vote in the @UN that it stands with Cuba against the illegal US blockade of the island. The US wants to destroy the Cuban Revolution, but we - across the world - will not permit that to happen. Stand with Cuba, eternally.

Far right wing media in India going crazy over a nothing story.
Why not focus on the fact that 187 MPs and MLAs declared cases relating to crimes against women. Of these, 15 are Lok Sabha MPs, four are Rajya Sabha MPs, and 168 are MLAs. That's an actual scandal.
Brazil-France. Two interesting developments, two articles. On Brazil's historical re-election of Lula (https://t.co/MH13FQpfxG) and on the civil war in France (https://t.co/pXaZzooHux). Events move at a rapid pace.

Is genuine national sovereignty achievable when multinational monopolies control key technologies and commercial networks? Without the capacity to shape the terms of production and development, formal independence can remain economically constrained.
